SATRAMM RAMANI ON BEING JUDGED

Going down memory lane, Double XL director Satramm Ramani recalled being judged for his appearance.

"During my college days, people used to tell me 'hanger pe kapde aa rahe hai latakte hue'. That was more of a joke. But I used to feel like what should I do? Should I go to the gym? Should I start eating (more)? But, when you realise that you don't have to be a certain size or shape, you keep working on your dreams. That's what the film also says. So, I have experienced that. Ultimately, it is about your dreams, abilities, talents and dreams more than anything else," he said.

SATRAMM ON DOING DOUBLE XL

Revealing why he decided to direct Double XL, Satramm said he was attracted to the story of the film. "When the film came to me, it was in the ideation stage. The kind of idea it was... I was like this is the story which I wanted to tell from my perspective as a director. From a director's medium, I wanted to tell this story to the world. The story was something which attracted me. Anyway, I go by the story more than anything in life. The story has to have a certain kind of weight to it or some kind of element that people will connect to," he added.

Double XL also stars Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra.
