Compalcomics May 2024 Auction: US Comics and Comic Art Focus

Following up on our earlier coverage of the latest Compalcomics auction, which includes much British comic art, here’s a spotlight on the US comic art on offer, and some of their Marvel Comics goodies, where bidding is already fast and furious…

The selection includes created in the New York Marvel Bullpen especially for a new introduction page featured in an unidentified issue of Marvel UK’s Super Spider-Man by Jeff Aclin.

  1. Correction: Master of Kung Fu #120 is by Gene Day alone, no Mike Zeck. Also, that’s comic page 5 (but with ads it counts as interior page 6, if that matters).

    Loved Day on MOKF, but Zeck’s pencils were a little more fluid, in my opinion (and Day was a great inker for him). Lovely artwork for sale here.
