Reviews
- Why do you listen to a record? Because not only are songs well made but you feel the artist thought of the proper sequence of how to present them. This collection of mostly hits and new songs flow perfectly. Stevie is a musical genius and the record celebrates that. Highly recommended!
Pressing is great for me - Picked this up back in 2020 from a 2nd hand record store in Notting Hill West London sold as used,Ex(Excellent condition for both media & cover).
To be honest I never really got on with the sound quality(always knew musically it is sound!)& just put it down to it "probably" been a digitally sourced reissue so bla bla bla...
Well after some "long thought after" upgrades to the hifi system this LP IS FIRE - Pure Unadulterated FIRE!
The sound quality for a "mere reissue" is Fantastic via my modest Rega front end there`s only ONE track where there`s some slight smear, distortion etc. A2 " You Haven't Done Nothin' ",of course this could be down to the system and may well sound better on a "better" set-up.
LP comes as a 2x black disc set in a bog standard gatefold anyone that knows blue note`s tone poet gatefolds this isn`t it this one is of a lesser standard.Mine had two plain white anti-static inners but because it was used can`t say weather these are sold with the LP originally.
If you`re a Stevie or a Funk / Soul lover this is for you infact,if you`re just into Great sounding vinyl records guess what -THIS IS FOR YOU!!
Thank you for reading my humble ramblings I`ve tried my best to put my views/opinions and experiences over so you can get a feel for this record,it is still fairly reasonable to pick up used so happy hunting people.
