The quality of education is great. I believe the education itself should be more accessible to its students. Some classes stream lectures live and have many resources available to succeed which is important for students who have different learning styles and abilities. This should be available for all classes not just the rare few. Participation shouldn't be graded because students with disabilities are at a disadvantage. Grades should be based on the students knowledge and ability to retain that knowledge, not on whether they can attend class every day or solve a problem while being timed in a loud lecture hall. The campus itself is beautiful and I feel safe while I am there. There does not seem to be much diversity, especially in masters or doctorate programs.
I have really enjoyed my time here so far at CSU! It's definitely a place for people who like to be outdoors and have fun but still take school seriously. Everyone is very kind here, and you will find your people here. CSU is a great place, and I am proud to be a ram! That being said, if you are more into a party school vibe, I wouldn't come here, but there is a party scene. It's just not as big as other schools. All of the buildings are very nice on campus. Some of the dorms need some work, but that's how every school is.
Colorado State is a great university overall. The best part of my college experience was the people I made connections with there, including my fellow students and my professors. Many students, including myself, are dedicated to the advancement of human rights and are passionate about social justice. This led to many impactful discussions in my classes, as well as projects centered around community service and awareness campaigns. Many of my professors in both my major and minor made a real impact on me. They were very supportive of my career goals and wanted to see me succeeded. They brought great experience to their roles and were able to provide helpful advice for entering our field. Along with academics, Fort Collins has a great community with many activities and a thriving old town.
