We, a group of three. We were looking forward to this restaurant being a part of our experience here in New Orleans. Unfortunately coming through the door was a trip back into the days of old. We requested a booth seating and was told that they were expecting a group of 100, so that booth wasn’t available. Waiting to see a hundred people seated at a booth was never to come. Because of our persistence for the explanation of why we couldn’t sit at that booth, we were given the booth seating. For the rest of our meal we were unfairly ignored. I hope that this was a very rare experience to the customers of The House Of Blues. (Make it make sense )

Loved sitting behind the band while it played in the Voodoo Garden. We were inside the restaurant but could see and hear the amazing band who played for 4 Hours. Went back out to the garden after dinner til the music ended.

With so many great restaurants in NOLA to choose from, HOB was a major disappointment. Like a New Orleans version of Chilis, mediocre food, loud, and just not that good.

Not a good experience for us, we came in and asked if we could be close to the music band área. The waiters told us to sit outside. We went and sat and no one acknowledged us at our table. I went to the bar and order drinks and return to the table. After an hour had passed and no one came to take our food order we decided to leave. The drinks were terrible and the disregard for service was even worse. Will never go back to this place and won't recommend it.

House of Blues was incredible - The food was delicious (we tried the jambalaya, voodoo shrimp, and smoked brisket sandwich). The service was extremely friendly and so sweet, and gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. We went late (8:45) so we caught the end of the live jazz which was very cool. Would absolutely recommend

Plenty of empty tables but with reservation they still made us wait 20+ minutes to be seated. My waitress came to my table 2 times. To take order and to drop off the check. When dropping off the check she literally dropped it on the table and kept walking. No refills on the drinks. I expected more. Not worth the hype. Oh, and a tray of dirty dishes were dropped directly beside us and food and beverages splattered up the side of our legs onto our shirts...no apologies. Never again.

Vanessa got seated almost immediately and was the life of the party! Our drinks were great, and the ambiance was an experience to remember (We loved the ceiling tile tribute to the Blues legends). The burgers were great. The steak and fries were good. We even had an adaptation to the chicken Cajun pasta, but it was delicious. And the key lime pie and brownie ended the meal splendidly. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip. And oh yea…the live band 👍🏿👍🏿

The drinks were not served together for the whole of our party. We ordered the food which came separately. My vegetarian meal was wrong so they had to take it back. I had to sit there and watch my family eat their meal. My food came much later and the veggie burger was burned on the bottom. The waitress just said that she would tell the kitchen. A very bad experience and not what is expected in New orleans

It would have been great service if I didn't have to wait for over 10 minutes to get a refill of water after asking our waitress to bring me some. Plus, the place wasn't even busy at the time. There was no excuse.

We loved our “blue’s cruise” date at The House of Blues. The Big Soul Band rocked the Voodoo Lounge with our favorites from the 1970’s. Yes, they had me dancing with the first three notes of The Allman Brothers Band’s “You Don’t Love Me”. Is there a better song? My impromptu dancing helped warm me up - it was cold in the Voodoo lounge that late-December night my friends. We moved into the dining area where it was comfortably warm and we could still hear the music. Voodoo Shrimp for President! Awesome night of blues and rock and dinner in the jazzy city of New Orleans.

I have been to a Hardees that was better food. Has no balcony as shown in the photos. I have heard better blues from my 12 year olds band ! Definitely would not recommend and will never be back !

The food was awful. My ribs were so overcooked or most likely were leftovers from the prior day and were inedible. I left 1/2 my dinner untouched. The server wasn't around to ask for a new plate. Other party members food was blah to mediocre. Bar service was really slow. The guy playing music in the restaurant was annoyingly loud, especially when trying to eat and converse. Go somewhere else to eat and then enjoy the fabulous ticketed music up front.

It was too noisy if you wanted to talk to someone inside the restaurant. If i wanted to hear the band on the patio i would have sat there. Food was great, staff friendly.
