Selling The OC season 3 has potentially seen the final appearances of some of its cast members, but which agents announced their departures from the Oppenheim Group before the current season’s premiere? As Selling The OC season 3 has been gearing up to premiere, many have been wondering what the state of the Oppenheim Group’s OC offices would be after the show’s latest season finished filming. While many had already been aware of Tyler Stanaland’s decision to leave the O Group after his tumultuous relationship with Alex Hall brought him some difficult press, others were leaving the brokerage as well.

Tyler’s decision to leave stemmed from a multitude of reasons, but the other cast members of Selling The OC who decided to depart from the firm after the most recent season wrapped were more of a surprise. While the series had brought up drama between Jason Oppenheim, who co-owns the Oppenheim Group with his brother Brett Oppenheim, and some of the other agents, it didn’t seem like they were genuinely leaning towards a complete departure. As seen on Selling Sunset, an agent leaving the brokerage doesn’t mean they’ll stay away forever, but some are saddened to see their favorites go.

Alexandra Jarvis

Alexandra Jarvis’ decision to leave the Oppenheim Group may have been surprising, but her issues with the brokerage itself aren’t new. The young agent had a great start with the O Group during Selling The OC season 1, when she paired up with her colleague Alexandra Rose to give them a better chance at making sales. The Alexandras, Rose and Jarvis, were able to knock on doors and get listings that the firm wouldn’t have known about otherwise, but when Jarvis was interested in diversifying her portfolio with her own work, Rose didn’t take the news of their separation well.

Throughout Selling The OC season 2, Jarvis did her best to work on her own without the help of Rose, landing some incredible listings and trying to make a name for herself. She struggled with the fact that Rose, who she felt had a somewhat inappropriate working style with clients, wanted to tag along on all of her listings. Jarvis tried to be firm with Rose, but the pair clashed throughout the season. After Selling The OC season 2, Jarvis waited a year before departing from the O Group. She cited a toxic workplace culture as part of her decision.

Tyler Stanaland

While Tyler’s decision to leave the Oppenheim Group was surprising in terms of timing, it seemed the writing was on the wall for the agent. Tyler, who was married to actress Brittany Snow throughout Selling The OC season 1, has fought off rumors about why his marriage crumbled throughout the time the series has been on Netflix. While Tyler claims he never cheated in his marriage, his attitude toward his colleagues has led to issues on Selling The OC. Most recently, his relationship with Alex Hall pushed the pair away from one another, creating tension in the most recent season.

Tyler’s decision to leave the O Group was announced after Selling The OC season 2 saw him leaning into his relationship with Alex, even though both of them swore nothing had been happening. While Tyler had personal reasons for leaving the Oppenheim Group, it’s likely he also had the ability to work in a completely different environment without much struggle. Tyler’s father, John Stanaland, has his own group at another brokerage, and Tyler chose to jump even further into the family business after his time at the O Group became too difficult for him to maintain his personal life.

While Sean Palmeri wasn’t a major player on Selling The OC, many remember him from the series and have wondered what happened after his tumultuous time during the show’s most recent season. According to Jason himself, Sean’s behavior was unacceptable for the O Group, and the brokerage severed ties with him after his behavior throughout the season. During Selling The OC season 3, Sean found himself in conflict with Tyler and Austin Victoria, even coming to physical blows with Austin after an argument. Jason explained that on top of personal drama, the O Group wasn’t the right fit for Sean.

While some have left the group due to their issues with others in the firm, the culture of the Oppenheim Group isn’t necessarily measured by the actions of a few agents. Though there tends to be drama surrounding those who appear on Selling The OC, the O Group agents work both on and off the show. Still, the fact that there have been physical altercations, rumors, romantic entanglements, and full-on drama surrounding some of the major players at the O Group is concerning. It feels like Selling The OC’s firm has some serious work to do on their workplace culture.

Selling The OC is available to stream on Netflix.
