I love University of Hartford, The school makes you feel as if you were right at home. everyone is always welcoming.
My overall experience with the University of Hartford has been a good one since I came to the school. I have met many professors who have helped me with the 2 years I have been here, not just with school but life overall. What really has been a main factor for my experience is the friends and people I have met.
I have loved the greek life at our school and enjoyed very much being in my sorority (Alpha xi delta) however I would like to see more involvement in the school. The bleachers seem to always be empty during games as no one attends or has any school spirit.
Unless you’re in Greek Life or a Varsity Athlete, the party scene is nonexistent. Theres nothing on campus to do and personally, I had no interest in any of the clubs at UHart. The academics here are good, but campus life and student life are not it. Definitely a good choice if you are looking to commute.
Despite covid, I had a positive college experience. Professors made learning fun and easy and motivated me to keep going during the difficult times.
It's fine. The dorms are questionable but there are some decent professors and interesting classes. Very expensive though.
I found that the clubs are very accepting on this campus. Everyone is very welcoming. With that being said this college is still very much a business, we've had some problems with previous presidents and money and you can start to see the changes financially effect the school.
The University of Hartford is a place where everyone is pushed to do their best and is offered a constant support system by faculty, staff and peers. I have never felt out of place or unhappy at this university. I would recommend anybody to apply here.
The University is a good school. Areas of improvement would be the CSS, getting the run around is common and should not be happening when questions arise regarding student housing etc.. The food at the campus is amazing, it is always fresh, different and satisfying. The people who are working in these food areas are very nice, helpful and friendly. They have an amazing Pasta week food bar I look forward too. The residence halls are ok on campus, the walls could be thicker but my room is nice -has a decent amount of space.
Honestly, the best part of UHart are the academics and the diversity. All the professors are knowledgable and have experience in the fields they teach in. The school is extremely diverse and there is a place for everyone. With that being said, the housing is horrible, at least for freshman. The comps are falling apart and facilities takes very long to fix anything. I had leaks and black mold in my room for weeks without any resolution. The food at the dininghall is meh and the campus can get boring at times. Luckily, I relatively close and can go home on weekends, but if I couldn't I would consider tranferring. If you are not attending Hartt or HAS, there really isn't anything for you.
Alright campus people are nice. Getting the professors that will help you is key and finding friends is also important
The professors are all very nice. In the music department, there is a tight knit community. The school is constantly evolving academically and beginning to make changes to its curriculum to better-fit modern society. The only downside to this university is the extremely high cost for mediocre living at best. The dorms are all old and need renovating. There are constant problems that don't get fixed in a timely manner. In regards to food, the only redeeming thing is the Moe's, Subway, and Starbucks on campus.
The professors do care about your grades. They want to see you succeed. They’re always available for extra help. Will tell you if you’re doing a great job or not and will keep you motivated. Something I would change is the food. We have Starbucks which all of us love but the food in the dining hall is not that great. There’s not a whole lot of variety.
I like the events the campus has going on, even in winter there are things like Fall Fest and weekly stickers / snacks at the Student Union. The food is generally very good, even at the Commons. The only thing I'd like to change is have there be a bit more maintenance done on stuff like broken washing machines.
I like that the University of Hartford has the resources for receiving help in education and classes. The Center for Student Success is helpful with registering for classes and any other class and professor concerns. I wish the university was more diverse and had more things to do on campus during the weekends. Other than that it is a great experience here at the University of Hartford.
As a sophomore at Hartford University, I'm immersed in the Acoustical Engineering program, a unique and enriching experience. It integrates sound science seamlessly into the curriculum, offering an interdisciplinary perspective. The dedicated faculty, including Dr. Bob, provide exceptional guidance, and the curriculum's specialized courses enhance technical skills. Immersive labs like the anechoic chamber provide hands-on experience. By graduation, I will have a well-rounded skill set, whether I choose high-fidelity sound systems, concert hall design, or ultrasound machine engineering. To improve, stronger industry partnerships would be beneficial. In conclusion, this program is both educational and inspiring.
I like the Hart School of Music and the students that attend the University. I would like to see more internship opportunities for the students enrolled in the Hart School of Music.
The food can be repetitive, and it’s expensive for someone that’s not from Connecticut, but besides that the college is good. The people are okay, you just have to find your click. I’m only a freshman, so I don’t have a lot of experience here yet but I can say if you really don’t like your other options, you should go here.
The university of Hartford is a good School overall. I had the honor of being apart of the music department, which is one of the best in new England. Ive learned a lot and met a lot of helpful faces. My issues with the school come with their assistance financials and just with general needs. I have asked for assistance on multiple occasions and received little to no help.
I enjoy the classes I've been taking but sometimes I've had issues with more dorm room multiple times. But I have been working on campus and the people I work with are great.
