Olga Merediz is an American film, TV, Broadway, voice-over actor and singer. She is also expanding her talents with a new documentary she shot and produced called "MY TWO MOMS – A STORY OF SEPARATION",  and a TV pilot she created called "ANGELINA".

Upcoming projects:
Olga is a series regular on the new Netflix comedy "BLOCKBUSTER", coming in November 2022. It has a great, hilarious cast.
She also plays the role of Jojo in the upcoming romantic comedy film on Amazon called "SOMEBODY I USED TO KNOW".
Olga is a part of the cast of the Disney hit "ENCANTO". She is the “singing” voice of Abuela Madrigal.

She also sings the song "In the Spirit of Love" from the animated feature "ELENA OF AVALOR", also from Disney.

Film and television:

One of Olga's most memorable roles is Abuela Claudia in the hit feature film "IN THE HEIGHTS", based on the Broadway musical.

Her film credits include: "THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES" with Ryan Gosling, "THE ANGRIEST MAN IN BROOKLYN" alongside Robin Williams and Mila Kunis, "MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS"with Jim Carrey, "REMEMBER ME" with Robert Pattinson, "FUGLY" with John Leguizamo, " MUSIC OF THE HEART" with Meryl Streep, , "CHANGING LANES"with Samuel L. Jackson, and alonside Madonna in "EVITA".

Her TV show credits include "ROYAL PAINS", "BLUE BLOODS", "LAW & ORDER SVU", "THE JURY" (recurring), "HOPE & FAITH" (recurring), "PAN AM", and "LAW & ORDER" (recurring).

Merediz also appeared on the pilot episode of the FOX TV series "PAST LIFE", as well as an episode of "THROWDOWN" with Bobby Flay as a judge. She also appeared in FX Network's comedy "SAINT GEORGE" where she played George Lopez's feisty mother.

Theater and stage:
Merediz originated the role of Abuela Claudia in the Broadway musical version of "IN THE HEIGHTS", for which she received a Tony Award nomination. She played the role for the show's entire Broadway run.

In addition to "IN THE HEIGHTS", Broadway credits include:

"RECKLESS" alongside Mary-Louise Parker, "MAN OF LA MANCHA", and "LES MISERABLES". She also appeared as Rosie in "MAMMA MIA!". Merediz has appeared Off-Broadway in "WOMEN WITHOUT MEN", "THE HUMAN COMEDY", and The Public Theater's NYSF "THE TAMING OF THE SHREW", in Central Park.

Awards and Nominations:
Merediz won a 2007 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance for her role in the Off-Broadway run of "IN THE HEIGHTS", as well as a 2007 HOLA Award from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors, for Outstanding Performance by a Featured Female Actor. At the 2008 Tony Awards, she received a nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical, for the Broadway incarnation of "IN THE HEIGHTS".
