Warm Hampton welcome, recently renovated room, great stay. We paid with Honors points, and this hotel made us feel like that was appreciated. (The Portland Hampton Inn could take some notes on hospitality....)

Not happy about having to travel during the pandemic but the Hampton Inn in Exeter was very clean and welcoming. Employees wore masks, the room was very clean and comfortable...and we were given breakfast bags with fruit, water and a muffin. Even with so many challenges the employees were cheerful and helpful.

I chose the Hampton Inn Exeter because of its great central location less than 15 minutes from Hampton Beach and just as close to downtown Portsmouth, NH. It is close to local state parks and beaches including Odiorne State Park and the Seacoast Science Center as well as Rye, NH where you can depart for a whale watching tour. We always love the continental breakfast offered at Hampton Inns. My kids particularly enjoyed the smoothies they offered at breakfast during this stay. The room we stayed in was huge with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed, a wet bar,a microwave, and a mini refrigerator. The hotel indoor pool was a saltwater pool and my kids only used it once for about 15 minutes because we were otherwise so busy during our stay. We were 2 miles from the cute downtown of Exeter, NH and were also right next to Exeter Hospital. We have already discussed going back and staying at this very convenient location in the future.

We stayed at Hampton Inn Exeter June 28. I was not happy that the hotel wasn’t enforcing that guests should wear masks if outside their room. Everyone I passed did not have a mask. The hotel seemed clean however I did not see any employees disinfecting while there. Also the person at front desk did not disinfect screens or counter between checking in guests.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are sorry if you did not feel comfortable with the efforts that we are making with regards to the Corona virus. However, we are working very hard to maintain the protocol established by the State of New Hampshire and our parent company, Island Hospitality. We have recently joined the Hilton CleanStay Program which increases the level of cleanliness we are trying to maintain fro our guests. Although we cannot force our guests to wear masks, our staff is wearing them whenever come in to contact with our guests. We are also cleaning public areas including the front desk work area multiple times per shift as time and guest needs permit. We will continue to adapt to the ever changing needs and requirements created by this pandemic to the best of our abilities and try to provide a clean and safe environment for all of our guests. Thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Hotel US clean and well cared for. The problem is with the sleeping part (usually a large part of any Hotel stay). The pillows are absolutely horrific. They offer Zero support for tue Head eben when doubled up. The air conditioner cannot keep a constant temp in tue room and is very loud. It Kicks on and off repeatedly throughout the night waking you up after you finally fall asleep on the horrible pillows. Winter duvets on the bed mean that as soon as the air conditioner kicks off, you’re sweating. Take off the duvet then the a/c Kicks on and you’re freezing. Cold water in the bathroom spigot doesn’t work so you have to do everything in the shower that doesn’t require very hot water. The refrigeraotr makes noises like an emphysima patient on an iron lung. All night. Every night. Ugh. When you check in you are asked when you woudl like housekeeping to come up, or to request it 24 hours before. I was in Sunday-Thursday, so I said, can you have them come in on Tuesday. I was out all day and when I came back and went to my room - SURPRISE! No housekeeping was there. Room untouched. I went to the desk and asked if Housekeeping could come on Wednesday. Counter clerk says no problem. Wednesday when I returned to the hotel, guess what? No housekeeping. I would not recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at our hotel. We are so sorry that you did not have a comfortable stay with us. As the Front Office Manager, I am especially concerned that your requests were not met with a proper response. I can assure you that the customer service issues have been addressed. I sure hope that you brought these issues to the attention of the front desk at checkout so they could have addressed it at that time. I have addressed options to help with your heating and cooling system issue with the front desk and we should be able to help with that if you choose to return to our property some time in the future. Thank you again for your feedback.

Staff was lovely, room was spacious, clean and quiet. Blackout curtains got the room very dark. Bathroom was clean with great water pressure in the shower.
However, the beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable. For a one-night stopover on our way to Maine, it was adequate, but none of us slept very well. I used to choose Hampton over pricier hotels in the same chain because of the guarantee of cleanliness and good service, but with prices now rivaling the others, I may switch to a higher end option to get a more comfortable sleep.

Very friendly staff! Dog friendly for an additional pet fee. Clean and comfortable rooms! The only thing I see that could improve would be a better grassy area for dogs to do their business, especially since a few is charged for the dog to stay. That being said, the comfort of the room, great location just off the highway and super friendly staff would bring us back next time we’re passing through.

Thank you for such a nice review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. If you come back in the spring, you will see a grassy area in the back corner of our lot that is currently blocked by a snow drift. Just ask at the front desk for directions. We hope that you and your four legged family members had a safe trip home and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

You know how sometimes you stay at a hotel and you don’t really feel welcomed and it’s semi-questionable whether or not your room has been cleaned? Not here. From the moment we walked in the door, staff members were friendly, accommodating, and very welcoming. As for our room, it was super clean. I got a great deal on a queen suite for the five of us. I don’t think I’ve ever even found that good of a deal for two people.

My husband and I stayed with our adult daughter for two nights at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Exeter, New Hampshire. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people traveling. It was clean, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Despite Covid complicating things for everyone, we felt that the hotel went above and beyond to keep everyone as safe as possible. They still provided a delicious complimentary breakfast, all safely set out for guests. Some of the rooms are pet friendly, so we were able to bring our small dog with us. I thought the hotel was excellent value and in a very convenient location, with ample free parking. Would definitely stay again.

The two-queen suite was spacious and immaculately clean. The hot breakfast was tasty and included western omelettes, blueberry pancakes, and pork sausage links. The location was convenient - near a highway exit, but not close enough to hear highway noise. Within walking distance, there are two donut shops and a Mexican restaurant. The only problem I had was finding the entrance. My navigation system sent me down the road to the hospital, but there is no entrance from there. The entrance is on the main road.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We are super happy that you had a nice comfortable stay with us and enjoyed some of the local food choices. Next time you are in town, be sure to try the Thirsty Moose just across the street from us. It's a nice tavern with good food and cold adult beverages. Our stay was July on a weekend and the hotel was full. We were on an upper floor and noise wasn't a problem. Stay away from the Pool area and you should be fine.
Mostly concrete but I'm sure you could find a place.
