I’m graduating this year and my time has been good. Great sports, ok academics and good choice of things to do. Facilities need upgrading for the cost to go here. I think admissions must have been desperate though for freshman and sophomores this year because those grades really show no sense of brotherhood. A bad mix with bad personalities. Shame cos this wasn’t that way with my grade and juniors seem cool with each other. Not sure what happened with these lower grades maybe the pandemic but just a bunch of mental cases. I hesitated to write this review but when my sister was looking for prep schools for her son next year I looked up Malvern to see what others said. I have to wonder if these were done by the Mothers Club as a project. My son attended Malvern from 6-10th grades. He was heavily involved in athletics and enjoyed it for awhile. I removed him because I started to see his personality change for the worse. It seems that the administration allows the students to use derogatory terms, be disrespectful to each other, turns a blind eye to cheating all in the name of propping up their athletics. The school changed from what I remember when I went in the 80s. My son ended up graduating from Radnor HS and I know it was the best decision for all of us. Do your research first.
In the word of my son, he has ‘lived his best life’ at Malvern Prep. From the brotherhood to the staff, teachers, and coaches, he has received a top notch experience. He has been challenged academically, and grown to be a mature young man with excellent values. Malvern Prep has provided a wide variety of experiences in and out of the classroom. He has also greatly enjoyed all of the Christian Service opportunities!
