The house and gardens on another visit
We didn't have a lot of time to spend at the estate so we wandered around the park which was free apart from the car park which was an hourly rate rather than fee for the whole day, a positive point!. The admission to the house and gardens themselves was not on our agenda on this visit - there were no signs anywhere that we could see that actually told you how much it was, despite there being a ticket office. We had coffee and a snack at the estate cafe and a lovely sit ant the benches and enjoyed the views.
Dear AnnH9080 Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we're delighted to hear you enjoyed a coffee, snack and the views. Ticket prices are displayed in the car parks however thank you for your feedback on this we will take on board feedback and look to present them in more of a prominent position in the future perhaps. We look forward to welcoming you again soon!

    Lovely place
We spent a few hours here last Saturday, it’s very relaxing and suitable for everyone. The grounds are beautifully kept. The plant section and the shop have lots to offer, refreshments are plentiful. Great day out.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review, we're delighted you enjoyed a relaxing visit. We hope to welcome you back to Sandringham again soon.

    Positive group visit
Our group met for coffee and lunch in the restaurant at Sandringham recently. We had a lovely lunch and good service. My disappointment was with the shortage of gluten free food on offer. We did find the metal seats uncomfortable after sitting down for a couple of hours. …..They could do with cushions. We loved the updated estate, shop and surrounding attractions and will return for another visit. Highly recommend visiting, next time we will hopefully be walking in the forest as well and stay longer

    Perfect Day out
Excellent day out so much to see. Suitable for all ages well managed friendly guides . Car parking is very good a bargain for £4 pounds if you book before. No wonder our late Queen loved it there so much.

    Sandringham worth a visit
Couldn't wait to go, plenty of parking. Nice walk through the grounds to the house. Tickets were timed but we got in earlier. Spectacular rooms to view and knowledgeable guides. Just not many of them think just 4. Lovely sausage roll and latte had in the courtyard cafe area and nice to see the fire engine and car displays.

    Amazing Estate
We recently purchased tickets to view part of the house which was open to the public, have an afternoon tea, and spend as long as you like viewing the gardens & grounds. The staff everywhere we went were both friendly and knowledgeable. Inside the house the rooms we viewed were magnificent and King Charles paintings were amazing. The afternoon tea was also excellent and having spent over six hours there we were both very tired but happy.

Sandringham in Bloom was very special because of the incredible venue and a brilliant team effort from the staff.
We visited ‘Sandringham in Bloom’ with friends. It was our first time to Sandringham but it will definitely not be the last as the whole experience was very special. Sandringham house was presented beautifully and the guides were both friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds were extensive and the special displays for the event had been carefully thought out and presented. We are looking forward to visiting again when the new topiary garden is complete. Many thanks for making our visit so enjoyable.

    Beautiful royal residence
Visited beautiful Sandringham Estate on an overcast day but we really enjoyed our tour of the house and walk round the gardens and visited the Church The house is beautiful, light airy and homely and was such a contrast to tye many stately homes we have visited. Many of the rooms are painted in lighter colours and the displays of personal and royal collections is interesting We really enjoyed chatting with the guides, they were so knowledgeable and also work at the house when the Royal Family are there so their stories are very interesting The views around the lake walk were lovely and it was so peaceful. Worth visiting the church and admiring the amazing ceiling and altar Definitely well worth a visit

    Enjoyable for all ages
Wonderful family day out. 4 adults, 10 yr old and 2 x 8 yrs old. All thoroughly enjoyed the 6 rooms and (gun corridor) we saw plus church. Stables containing old vehicles used on estate Fabulous guides who gave anecdotes which delighted all members of the party. King Charles watercolours exhibition in ballroom at end of tour Quite a long walk from car park to house and to Chapel but wheelchairs available Book parking when booking ticket as its cheaper. Book early slot to avoid crowding

A very special day was had here by all our family, young and old.
The gardens and house were breathtaking.
The children also thoroughly enjoyed the play area and the parkland.
It was an added bonus that our dog enjoyed the parkland walk and enjoyed joining us in the courtyard whilst we ate our lunch. Reasonably priced sandwiches and cakes, after paying a pound more, elsewhere the previous day for sandwiches.
All the staff at Sandringham were helpful, friendly and everywhere was very clean.
The church is also not to be missed.

I absolutely loved our visit here. I am a big royal fan anyway and a fan of churches, castles and cathedrals so this was very special. Having brain cancer and wanting to make memories, this was a lovely one. Just wish I could have seen all the rooms. I felt very emotional walking in through the doors and also seeing where Christmas lunch is enjoyed. The gardens are beautiful. And the walk to the church too. Really special visit for me. Thank you.

Large grounds and gardens to see and enjoy .The house is interesting but the area visited is limited . The final flourish is to book in advance an afternoon tea to depart on a high and enjoy free parking

We were excited to visit Sandringham & happily bought our tickets online for £53 including parking. Unfortunately we left feeling ripped off & disappointed. The extra charge for the house enabled us to view 5 maybe 6 rooms, all on the ground floor. One of these was set up as an exhibition of sustainable clothing which was not what we went to see. In hindsight, I wish we’d just purchased the ticket for the car park, church & grounds which would have been £5

Sandringham was the most impressive estate, house and general setting that we have seen. We have been NT members for many years but the presentation of this property was exceptional. The visitors shop, restaurant and general facilities were excellent. The house was beautifully presented with friendly knowledgeable volunteers on hand in all rooms. The new parterre garden agreed by the King is nearing completion and is a stunning addition. Every turn of the parkland from the lakes to the woodlands and walks afforded wonderful vistas. The beautiful church, the house and formal gardens allowed us to feel closer to the Royal family and their love of this unique property.

It is lovely to see a real royal home, we liked the puzzle half completed waiting for the family to return and finish it and the rooms we did see were beautiful.
The gardens were well kept but didn’t have the wow factor we expected. We couldn’t walk the longer route as it was closed whilst the gardeners chopped the bushes. (Couldn’t you do this before opening or put up an alternative route through?)
There’s lots of building work going on at the front so it’s not looking great at the moment.
It’s very expensive to visit, £23 each plus £5 parking. The house tour is very brief, you see 6 or 7 rooms. A bacon bap will set you back £6.50 and simple key rings are a tenner in the shop. I guess they can charge such prices because many tourists like to go but there are some amazing country houses all over the UK which are much nicer and a whole lot cheaper.
Try kentwell hall or Newby hall and gardens for beautiful houses and gardens.

As I prepaid our entry and parking online, I thought to myself that this is quite expensive. The weather was perfect. Our first point of call was the toilets. I thought the Gents was possibly the nicest public toilets I ever used. We were hugely impressed by how well cared for the gardens and grounds were. Possibly the nicest we have visited. We did the house visit. Staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed hearing how the Royal Family use the rooms we were allowed into. We ate in the cafe and then visited the nearby Church. This also is well worth the visit. The lady on duty was also welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable A great day out. Lovely to see things being maintained and looked after so well. I was glad that I had paid the entrance fee👍👍

As with all the Royal residences, visiting this site is well organised and exceptional standards.
Currently there is considerable planting going on from snowdrops in the to walkways lined with wisteria and cherry blossom trees. Given a couple of years to mature, these will be magnificent.
Also work in progress is the replanting of the par terre at the rear of the house.
Guides in the house are friendly and informative adding to the overall enjoyment of the visit. With all those feet trampling on their Majesty's beautiful carpets, the wear and tear would be a worry but for the remarkable floor covering which has been produced to match the actual carpets below. You wouldn't know until you notice a slight change in undulation underfoot. Very clever.
After visiting the house and gardens don't forget to walk to the church St Mary Magdalene - the alter piece was commissioned by Queen Alexander after the death of her husband King Edward VII, and is impressive.

Very disappointed we were not allowed in the gardens with our very well behaved dog on a short lead .we walked the woodland trail with the hope of some sort of views, but it was just a woods. £7 for a walk in the woods 🙄I totally understand dogs not being allowed in the house and maybe specific areas . But it's the first place I have been that dogs are not allowed in the grounds . So extremely disappointed.
