Public Records

The Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts is the custodian for many records, particularly court records, in Fulton County. Most court records can be viewed online from the Clerk’s website. For criminal cases, that information includes name, case status, charges, and timeline of court appearances.

For civil cases, court records include plaintiff and defendant names, case status, next court date, date filed, and timeline of court events. For birth and death records, you can contact the Office of Vital Records.

To submit an open records request, you can contact the Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts. An open records request is simply an official request to view particular public government or agency documents.

Deeds, which are legal documents regarding the ownership of property or legal rights, can also be obtained from the Clerk’s Office.
