Ewan McGregor's Daughter, Clara: 5 Things to Know About the Budding Photographer

When Ewan McGregor brought his daughter Clara with him to the premiere of Miles Ahead on Wednesday in New York City, people couldn’t help but take notice of the stunning blonde.

So who is the eldest daughter of the famous actor, 44, and his production-designer wife Eve Mavrakis? Here are five things to know about 20-year-old Clara McGregor.

1. She’s an aspiring photographer

Although she may have supermodel looks, Clara much prefers to be the one behind the camera. “I really enjoyed taking photographs and, as I got older, I felt I could potentially be good at it and decided to follow through with it,” she told the Sunday Times.

Clara launched an online gallery, featuring a variety of black-and-white portraits.

“With my photographs, I strive to explore the human body in different realms using lighting to create depth and texture and emotion to each image,” she wrote on her website.

2. She’s studying photography at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

The Los Angeles based teenager moved to NYC to study photography in the hopes of taking her passion to the next level. “Now I’m going to study photography in New York and I hope to make a career out of it. It’s a tough industry to crack but a very interesting one.”

“Final project all done, Tisch it’s been a solid year,” she captioned a shot of four black and white photographs.

3. She doesn’t want to be an actress.

While she may be the daughter of a famous actor, Clara doesn’t plan to follow in her father’s Hollywood footsteps.

“I’ve never been tempted to try acting. It’s not for me,” she told the Times. “As a little girl, I tried it but it was never anything I pursued as I grew up.”

And it seems her parents couldn’t be prouder of their daughter for paving her own path in the photography industry.

“My parents have always been very supportive and they’ve encouraged me to keep working hard on it.”

4. She’s got two favorite muses: her parents.

Clara has dedicated a gallery on her website to glamorous photos of her parents. From candid shots of them relaxing at home to posed portraits, her mom and dad seem to be her some of her favorite models.

“These guys,” she captioned a photograph of her parents she shared to her Instagram.

“My beautiful mama,” she wrote on an up-close shot of her mother laughing.

5. She’s a blooming foodie.

While photography might be her first love, a quick scroll through Clara’s social media puts her second passion on full display: food.

Clara’s Instagram is riddled with pictures of some of her favorite dishes. From trips to farmers’ markets to home-cooked meals and dinner on the town, she takes you on a tour of some of her favorite eats – and it all looks delicious!

From the looks of it, Clara might be the next famous face of the McGregor family.
