How to reset iTunes Library on Mac

  1. Launch the Finder app on Mac.
  2. Click Go on the menu bar.
  3. Choose Home from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select the Music iTunes folder to proceed.
  5. Now, choose and delete iTunesLibrary.itl & iTunesMusicLibrary.xml files.

How to reset iTunes Library on Windows PC

  1. Access the Folder app on your Windows computer.
  2. Go to Music iTunes to proceed.

  5. Click Yes to conclude the process.

Note: Upon following the steps, regardless of the device, you can head to the iTunes app and create a new music library accordingly.
