The thing about most of these old educational shorts is that they barely contain any advice because they get so caught up in creating dramatic re-enactments. I promise viewers are familiar with the concept of anger; they probably could've sped past that part. The kids doing dramatic anger monologues are pretty funny, though the actual advice here sucks. One piece is to tell the person you're angry at that you're angry, which clearly happened in the skit. Another is to pretend you are beating them when using a punching bag. Sounds... not healthy! Or to draw funny insulting pictures of them. It's remarkably bad information.
All that said, though, I've never liked the "don't…
I guess it’s fine for an educational short. But it’s no Mister Rogers. I want to make a sequel to this, and get Megadeth to do a song called Don’t Get Angry Again.
The riffs take a bit to heat up, but man, are there some quality ones here.
The Mads Are Back, Night of Shorts 3. Don't get angry, get even by punching a speed bag or making a voodoo doll. It forgets the most important lesson of all, bottle your angry up and live a life of quiet desperation.
What about the poor woman doing the dishes? She should be able to have her feelings resolved too smh
