Bowling Green is an amazing campus. I love how accessible everything is. I also love the environment, everyone is very nice and helpful!
Once you have been to Bowling Green State University, you never will be the same. Once you have been touched by a Falcon, you never will be the same. Once you enter the BGSU family, you never will be the same. Everyone watches out for each other, both academically and in *extracurricular activities*. I never once felt unsafe during my time at BG—if anything, it helped teach me about the true goodness of people in this world. My experience through internships, organizations, and classes truly helped prepare me for the career I'm in today. I wouldn't trade my experience for the world.
I really enjoy BGSU, I like the size of it and the amount of activities on campus. Mostly everything is in walking distance!
As an international student from Nigeria at BGSU, I appreciated the vibrant campus life and the opportunity to engage with students from diverse backgrounds. The university's cultural organizations and events helped me feel connected to home while also exploring new experiences. However, I would have liked to see more initiatives focused on supporting international students' transition into academic life, such as additional resources for navigating the U.S. education system. However, one area I felt could be improved is the availability of housing options tailored to the needs of international students. It would be beneficial to have more affordable and culturally sensitive accommodation options, as well as additional support for navigating the off-campus housing market. Overall, my experience at BGSU was enriching, but there are always opportunities for growth and enhancement in supporting the diverse needs of international students.
This campus is known for being the number one university for the public good, and I agree. In my first year here, I found it easy to adjust with the large number of events and activities that went on. The area surrounding the campus is also generally good. The only thing that I would like to see a change is maybe better food at times. The food is nowhere near bad, however sometimes I felt the options to be repetitive. Overall its a good university and it was easy to make the adjustment from a high school student to a college student.
Overall it was the average college experience. I didn’t get into the party scene as I was more focused on my education. I have loved both on and off campus. My experience on campus was good dorm wise. Same with off campus. The only issues I saw were how it was harder to purchase food if you lived off campus due to pricing. Also a lot of school events were geared towards students who lived on campus. Classes offered were nice, but the ones people had to take to complete their degrees often didn’t feel applicable. Some professors were understand in regards to mental health, others not so much. It was a 50/50 shot if the professor genuinely cared about their students. Same goes for other faculty, especially when it came to financial aide office or academic advisors.
BGSU overall is a good school, but could use some tweaking. There should be more diverse professors and courses available, as well as course availability in general should increase. They should take commuter students into consideration more, as most campus activities and in person classes aren’t always easy for commuter students, especially those with jobs, to be able to go to.
Overall, the school is decent. I have had some really great professors who are very knowledgeable on their subjects. Cost isn't too bad, either.
This is my second time attempting a bachelors degree at BGSU. There are so many different programs to choose from and the majority of the professors are knowledgeable and understanding. The campus life is top tier. There is always something to do, and tons of student organizations to join. If you’re looking for a school that’s medium-large sized with a wide range of options to pursue, BGSU is for you.
Its really a welcoming university for international students it makes them feel at home and good in academics
I like how friendly and welcoming everyone is in the community. The local area has a bunch of fun things to do with friends and going out to eat.
I like bowling green it is a nice college town however there isn’t many food sources and bad housing options
Going to bowling green was a wonderful choice. There are so many people with different hobbies and interests. Even though there are a lot of different things people are into, it is welcomed everywhere on campus. BGSU is very welcoming and is a beautiful place to be.
My time at Bowling Green was good - there is truly something for everyone, regardless of if you are a quiet student or someone who likes to have a good time on the weekends.
the school is a really good school but the diversity is really bad and they do not do a lot to try and engage African American students with the on campus activity.
I am enrolled in Bowling Green State University as an upcoming Freshmen for the 2024 school year, enrolled in the arts program.
Bowling Green University is a great university. Professors are helpful, the campus is nice, the food isn't horrible, such a safe school, gives college town vibes! However, if you do not find any hobbies and stay stuck in your dorm, you will become depressed! it's okay if this school isn't for you :) Definitely try and find something you are passionate about here at bg and if you can't, you can always transfer! life is a learning experience and there's no wrong answer.
