Tivy High School Reviews
Rating 3.97 out of 5 281 reviews
I recently moved to Tivy my junior year of highschool. They offered a variety of courses I can take part in. These classes will help me reach of career goal of becoming a Marine vet tech. The teachers and staff there are very helpful and supportive of the student’s decision of there career.
Tivy Highschool is alright. It is what you expect of a small town school in Texas. It has heavy emphasis on sports. The football program and other sports receive a huge chunk of money for their funding. Which, as someone who is heavily associated with the arts; can be a bit depressing due to our lack of recognition compared to sports or more STEM related fields. We do have a great administration and faculty. They do their best to help us in finding our next step after high school. I'd say it was a good place to establish a foundation for a next few hops into adulthood; but there can be ups and downs whether or not a certain program has a toxic environment such as favoritism or lack of inviting new people.
Much of the administration does not care for the children, nor do they allow a dialogue with parents. Overall, it's an average high school.
