Iceland's Crossfit Champion Annie Mist is taking her fitness talents to New York City

CrossFit champion Annie Mist Þórisdóttir is not only the "most fit" woman in Iceland, but holds the title for the entire CrossFit world. She exemplified her amazing fitness abilities en route to two CrossFit Championships in 2011 and 2012.

"Iceland Annie" is now taking her fitness talents to New York for the opening of Crossfit Union Square, a 8,000 square ft. facility right on the southwest corner of Union Square Park in New York City. Annie is set to be the "head of training" for the new program, which aims at a membership of around 500 individuals made up of all fitness levels.

Annie also runs a CrossFit gym in Iceland's capital city, Reykjavik. While Annie is leaving CrossFit Reykjavik, she will be handing over the responsibility of running the gym to her two partners. Despite leaving her native country, Annie is excited about the opportunity in New York, “I’m just excited about building a gym from the very beginning.”
