David Scott Golden, 54, of Honesdale and formerly of Glen Cove, NY, died on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. He is survived by his spouse of 20 years, Alicia McCarthy.
Born on June 4, 1969 in Glen Cove, NY, he was the son of the late David Ralph and Margaret "Peggy" (Van Velsor) Golden. For many years, David was a truck driver and locally worked security at the camps during the summers. He also served as a volunteer firefighter and emergency responder in Croton-on-Hudson and Oyster Bay, NY.
Also surviving are his daughters, Noelle Golden of TN, Jaymie Golden and Juliet Golden both at home; his brother, Eric Golden and family of Oyster Bay, NY; his mother-in-law, Nancy McCarthy of Glen Cove, NY; brother-in-law, James McCarthy of Glen Cove, NY. He is also survived by many friends.
Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Thursday, July 27th, 2 to 4. A memorial service will be held at 4 o'clock.
