I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, families, and couples .
Counseling helps people who have problems or concerns that they are not resolving to their satisfaction by themselves. The counselor can help to identify the problems and offer an environment in which to test new ideas and behavior safely. The goal of such counseling is to help clients deal more effectively with the people, situations, and issues they face.

I specialize in connection through couples , family, or individual counseling.
You want to feel better and you don't know where to start. You feel afraid, angry, overwhelmed, lost, and, depressed most of the time. Maybe your marriage is unfulfilling, your teenagers and kids drive you crazy, or you can't even name what it is that feels so awful. Let's work together to prevent negative cycles and change patterns to create safety. Emotional connection can emerge from what might feel like the ashes of infidelity, emotional and sexual disconnection or conflict that never seems to end. I am an ally to LGBTQIA+ clients. I am sex positive and poly/kink informed.

I provide therapy to children, adults and couples who are seeking counseling to work through trauma, make changes, or get through a difficult situation.
Through life’s ups and downs, it is crucial for people to be seen, heard, and understood. It is through this validation that my goal is to be a consistent, constant support system for my clients through the ebbs and flows-good and bad. My contribution as a therapist is to provide a safe space for individuals to learn about themselves, explore their minds and hearts, and to challenge themselves when necessary. As for my approach, I often utilize Person Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as incorporating mindfulness techniques into treatment plans. I also integrate an eclectic approach to tailor to my clients needs.

Currently, I have 1-2 openings and then will go to a brief waitlist. I do not see couples . If you relate to my profile and want to work with me, send me an email or visit my website. My specialty areas include relationship concerns (with partners, family, friends, coworkers, etc.), trauma, identity exploration and development (LGBTQ2S+, disabilities, etc.), and neurodivergence (ADHD/ASD). Emotional discomfort should be guiding, not debilitating. Sometimes we spend so much energy accommodating the people around us, we forget to ask, "what do I want?" My aim is to use therapies that are empowering and help you to reclaim your story.

What makes therapy work? This is a question that countless people I know have wrestled with. I've noticed over the years that good therapy often starts with the genuineness and compassion of the therapist. As a result, I do my best to bring myself to our meetings, as well as the best of clinical insight and application, in order to connect with you and help you on the healing journey.

I find it is essential to meet everyone exactly where they are in their process - developing a trusting and open client-therapist relationship that allows for freedom of expression and exploration.
Are you worried about your child’s behavior? Maybe they’re showing signs of anxiety, or they are acting out in school and their grades are falling. They may be struggling with friends and trying to fit in, and maybe they seem like they are pulling away from you. Maybe this is the first time they are struggling, or maybe this has been going on for a while. Either way, it breaks your heart to see them this way, and while you want to help them and stay connected to them you just don’t know how. That’s where I come in. I understand what children and teens today are dealing with and I can help your child begin to turn things around.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
