Nestled in an upscale setting, the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is often described as a modern sanctuary, offering spacious and stylish accommodations with luxurious touches. Guests have called out the hotel's cleanliness and the breathtaking views from the rooms, which are equipped with modern amenities. While the service generally receives high marks for attentiveness, there have been instances of disorganization. However, the overall value is sometimes questioned due to unexpected costs and pricey services. Amenities like heated pools are popular, although some have noted thin walls.

We just had the most amazing vacation at this beautiful resort. There is nothing as relaxing as sitting by the pool while soaking in the view of the Garden of the gods. The service is exceptional - we attended fitness classes, played pickle ball and ate incredible meals without ever having to get in a car. We had one of the best steak dinners we have ever eaten at the main dining room. We enjoyed our morning lattes and breakfast bowls at the cute cafe on the resort and enjoyed frozen beverages and lunch by each of the three pools. It was a great place to celebrate the 4th of July - ending with a fabulous fireworks display. We cannot wait to go back!

LOVED my stay at Garden of the Gods Resort. The views of the Garden were absolutely gorgeous and could be seen from every room in the hotel. The hotel rooms were gigantic, amazingly clean and offered an in-room wine tap! Plus the on-site amenities were unmatched. The infinity pool and hot tub were some of my favorite parts with well-kept, large locker rooms that included complimentary toiletries. I ordered a chicken sandwich through room service which was quick and yummy. Also ordered some food and a strawberry daiquiri through the pool service which was also delicious and quick. I recommend this resort to anyone visiting Colorado Springs that is looking for a relaxing stay with excellent service and a convenient location to the Garden of the Gods.

During our phone reservation I had let the booking agent know it was our wedding anniversary and had made notes in the system to communicate this with the resort. I had also called prior to check what amenities GG offered to surprise my wife, and had requested chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne to be ready in our room upon arrival. I was very excited to be able to set this up for her. But as previously stated, cleaning staff was still in our room when we were told the room would be ready and we had our surprise encounter. This was the initial "issue", but I hadn't thought anything bad about it because I assumed she was still in the process of setting up the room for the surprise.

To my surprise however, the champagne seemed to be placed in the room on the dining table without thought, with the congratulatory card from the staff set aside in the powder room next to the wine dispenser. This was already very odd. The "icing on the cake" however, was the chocolate-covered strawberries found on the bottom shelf in the fridge wrapped with plastic wrap. Although it seemed like the thought was there, it actually seemed quite thoughtless for a resort like GG.

After calling the front desk to share my grievance, they let me know that we would be taken care of during our dinner reservation at The Rocks lounge. However, we weren't told until we received our bill that my drink and appetizer was comped. This did very little to make our evening any more special for our wedding anniversary given that my wife and I were not in the drinking or eating mood at this point.

Having stayed at many resorts, it's clear that GG hangs its laurels on its location and views but needs more work with hospitality. Hopefully, these comments helps better experiences for future guests at GG.

We spent a couple days at the resort and enjoyed our stay. It is the perfect location if you are planning to visit the Garden of the Gods. The views from our room and the pool deck and restaurant patio are outstanding. The food was good and service as well. I appreciate that when you check in they ask for your mobile # and then text you periodically to ask how things are going. It's a nice touch and they actually monitor and respond when you have an issue. Case in point, we tried to go the pool at 4pm and it was just closing for COVID cleaning which was a bummer so we decided to go to the outdoor bar patio and get drinks but they wouldn't seat us outside due to upcoming reservations so we sat inside the bar despite 40+ open tables outside in direct contradiction to being concerned with COVID. They could have just said we have reservations at 6pm so can you be done by then which of course would have worked just fine. Anyway, I texted back to the hotel and almost immediately the manager came to address the situation and agreed that they could have asked us our timeframe and then seated us outside and then he covered our drinks. So their text system turned what could have been a negative mark on our trip to a positive one. Every hotel should do this and be responsive to guests like they were. My only other minor complaint is that the restaurant/bar played 1950s-60s tunes each of the 4 times were were there. It wasn't the best vibe to hear Dean Martin singing Volare at 9am during breakfast looking out over the mountains. Seems they should use a more modern playlist or one with more instrumental tracks that fit the SW vibe. Minor thing but an expensive hotel should manage all parts of the guest experience and music definitely impacts that. All said and done though it is a very good hotel in a very good location with amazing views and solid service.

First, call them to make sure that everything that's advertised on the website is available for use - turns out some of the pools are off limits for hotel guests. Front desk staff is rude and unhelpful. Restaurants must be booked a week in advance in order to get the time you want. Unless you are a member they do not care about their hotel guests one bit.

We booked a room for $900/night and were denied the use of pool, the kids room, and had to eat dinner either at 5pm or 9pm.

And the staff treat you as if you are an inconvenience to them.

While the resort has beautiful views and wonderful staff, the rooms and cleanliness needs to be addressed. We found hand prints on the wall to the left of the desk, cobwebs on ceiling near fireplace, scuff mark on ceiling, mold in the shower and grout, hair in the shower near the soap tray, hair stuck on the exterior of the toliet, and bathroom heater was filthy.

Bed was uncomfortable but in their defense, I'm accustomed to a Sleep Nimber with imported 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. This is why I pick 4 star or greater accommodations as the mattresses and linens are usually top of the line.

Room service fee is a little steep when you can order food delivered to the resort for the same delivery fee. However, the desert was delicious with good plate presentation. Nepresso is nice for espresso but not for coffee. You don't make coffee from a shot of espresso. In room wine is red (Pinot Noir) or white (Chardonnay). Wife prefers a semi sweet to sweet wine so would be nice to have more than these two options.

All in all, a pleasant stay but bathroom/bed/cleaning needs to be addressed if this is to be considered a 4 star stay at $260 a night.

I recently hosted a wedding at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. I also reserved a large room block at this resort. The picturesque backdrop speaks for itself as to why the location was chosen. Unfortunately, the resort is well aware of its location advantages and lacks in customer service and hospitality. The employees in the trenches are amazing but those at the top of the ladder are unwilling to work with clients, even during a pandemic. Rooms weren't cleaned daily in a timely manner as housekeeping was constantly behind. The resort management appeared more concerned with the dollar the guests bring in than the guest themselves.

Thank you very much for your candid review of your recent wedding event and group room block experience at our resort. Guest feedback is extremely valuable to us, as we strive to improve our performance with each and every stay, and from the many special events held at the resort annually. We understand that you worked directly with the leadership in our Sales Department in regards to your reduced attendance, which caused attrition fees and canceled rooms charges. It’s understandable how last minute changes can become quite costly for group events, and we sympathize that the reduction in your attendees was not something planned or anticipated on either side. To be clear, your event occurred with us well before any pandemic stay-at-home regulations and limits of size of public gathering orders were put into place. We do greatly appreciate your positive comments about our exceptional staff that worked closely with you to ensure everything was perfect in the planning and execution of your special event. We have shared your feedback with these team members that supported you in creating a memorable experience.

Stayed in the casitas at GoG resort for 4 nights over Christmas. Our first family vacation since Covid hit. It was hard to tell from the website how the casitas were arranged but think of the casitas as a three bedroom one story home.

We booked a casitas suite and an connecting casitas queen. The suite has the living room, dining area and full kitchen as seen in the picture. Each bedroom had its own full bathroom with big bathtub.

While we did not have the 3rd room of the casitas it does share a common foyer with the casitas suite. Off the foyer is a washer/dryer, a larger ice machine (full fridge in the suite had an ice machine) and a half bath.

The staff was very accommodating during our stay. Nolan at the front desk had reached out on the night of our arrival and offered to help with arranging for room service to be ready since we were getting late.

Room service was punctual and efficient. The resort was also flexible with our housekeeping request - we had asked for at least a daily cleaning in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Dinner at the resort restaurant on Christmas Day was good. I would say a 4/5. With covid restrictions only outdoor seating and alcohol service until 8 pm. There were plenty of heat lamps, fire pits and lap blankets for use. Service was good and food overall good with some hits and misses but above par for a hotel/ resort restaurant.

We really didn’t use much of the facilities since we choose to use the resort as a base camp for our daily hiking excursions. The heated infinity pool was available on reservations. But is smaller than one would envision. Not very useful as a lap pool.

The only downside during the stay was use finding a sock from a prior guest under an armchair in our bedroom. Made us question the thoroughness of cleaning between guests during Covid-19.

Overall would definitely stay here again when back in Colorado Springs.

Very disappointed with this visit and Resort. I started to rate it a 3 but decided on a 2 primarily for their lack of regard for COVID protocols. Their staff would come into our room for room service or maintenance without a mask. I didn’t know if they had been vaccinated, they didn’t know if I have been vaccinated or worse case scenario, one of us has Covid. Then I watch the local news and see how much their Covid is rate going up! I have gone to 4 4-star resorts in various places this year and always felt safe and like the resort cared about my safety. I didn’t get that feeling here.

Also room service dining was marginal, one night no napkins and what we had looked and tasted like it came out of a can. Some room service meals were good but no consistency.

Internet was spotty. Tv was a hassle. To watch Netflix or Prime you had to use Google Chrome every time, sign in put in different code…get Smart TVs! Guest should not have to hassle with this in a resort that professes to be a first class resort.

Driving into resort it looks kind of old, but I totally agree the view is awesome. Housekeeping does an exceptional job and room size is very good.

Not sure we’ll be back or will recommend staying here to our friends who travel. Hopefully the resort will take this review and think about ways they can better serve their customers.

This is a beautiful property with staff that want to ensure a great experience of its guests. The folks that greet you on arrival to valet of direct you to parking and assist with luggage are wonderful. The front desk is very helpful. Where things fall down is on the housekeeping side and the waitstaff. Our first room had a missing TV (ie a hole in the wall where the TV should be and several other broken or unsupplied items). The front desk was super responsive and moved us to the same room type quickly. They comped us breakfast for the duration of our stay. While being comped breakfast was a nice touch we would have preferred the level of service expected of a $700 (INCLUDING ALL THE TAXES AND FEES) room. Daily housekeeping was completely unpredictable and no matter how early our late we left our Service Please card on the door we always came back to an un serviced room. The cleaning staff spoke little to no english and dialogue was confined to yes or no. In our 5 night stay, our room was never clean before 3 pm and even then was not a quality clean. Yes the beds were made well. the garbage was emptied but the floors were not cleaned (necessary on a room of people) amd none of the amenities were restocked. Dining service was also spotty. Despite asking for the same order of English breakfast tea with tea bags and mild for days i was mostly given one tea bag, a lemon and luke warm water most days. I never received the order I asked for. None of our breakfast orders were consistent day to day. Portions, temperatures and ingredients were inconsistent. Over mornings we had occasion to order poached eggs for at least one breakfast order. We never received an acceptable poached egg. All were cooked mostly through either by being under a heat lamp of simply improperly cooked. Given the prices being charged for breakfast I would expect it to be a much more consistent and better executed experience.

The main family pool on complex is nice. Plenty of towel lounge covers and pool towel available. Food and drinks are available to order from friendly staff. The unfortunate issue is that adjacent to the pool area is a building site, The blaring music and construction noise mostly negate the benefits of being poolside with family.

Overall I liked the complex. We had a lovely time at the spa (facial and massage) and the fitness center staff were welcoming and accessible. That said, we came away with the perspective that we had paid way to much for a room with a view. If they can manage to extend the welcome from check in to overall service level I would happily return and pay a premium.
