Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our first port of call after the ferry, so we started in the Cafe which is delightful. As we entered the church a volunteer approached us and asked if we would like a little history or wander on our own. We asked for the history and we were totally in awe of the information given to us. David was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. It made our visit so wonderful. Thank you so much...

You could easily fit in a visit to St Mildred's Church before or after going to Osborne House. The two go together well as Prince Albert was partly responsible for its design and it was Queen Victoria's parish church.

It's an impressive church both inside and out and unique in all the churches I've visited in its architectural style. There are lots of royal memorials in the church including the tomb of Prince Henry of Battenberg. The volunteers who act as guides in the church are very knowledgeable and happy to give interesting background to the things you can see in the church.

There is a small car park next to the church and a café. We didn't visit the café during this visit, but I recall it being very pleasant the last time I was there.

Our walking group very much enjoyed the church and cafe before walking from the Folly to Newport. Walk up from Folly across the fields was a bit rough and ĺower stile broken, so we went down the road and then walked along the river

Well worth a visit, this little Church was used by Queen Victoria and has a fascinating history. Plenty of information on the Church walls and volunteers around to answer any questions.

This is a superb church full of history around Queen Victoria and other notable events linked to the Church.
The on site guides are very knowledgeable and speak enthusiastically about its history.
The building is superbly preserved and wonderful to look at.
The adjoining cafe is a great place to get refreshments and cake after the visit!
Good sized car park makes for easy access.
Look forward to visiting again.
Highly recommended.

Took a group of 18 to visit the church.
Fascinating building and very helpful and knowledgeable volunteers.
If you are interested in Queen Victoria and her family you must visit.
The cafe is an added bonus. Amazing value and lovely cakes and sandwiches.
Get your refreshments here not at Osborne House where the cafe is expensive and the food quality poor.
The ladies at Whippingham are to be congratulated for providing such wonderful service and fresh food.

The church where Queen Victoria worshipped when she stayed at Osborne House. Volunteers on hand to answer any questions & plenty of information boards. Very beautiful gothic church with beautiful views across the River Medina from the graveyard. The coffee shop is well worth a visit for a cuppa & home made cake & more displays of local history.

I wanted to see this church and learn about its history. My husband and friend were dragged along. Despite this we all enjoyed ourselves. We asked questions from Chris B, who knew so much about the church and area. So interesting. His knowledge was immense and he answered all our questions. Well worth visiting. A beautiful church that I could imagine Queen Victoria worshipping in.
The outside graveyard was also a place of interest. We saw Commonwealth graves there, all well tended. The view of the Media River was so relaxing and lovely to see. A perfect place for rest.
