About
Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a true, year-round adventure destination. In summer, RMR is home to the Pipe Mountain Coaster; North America's first Brandauer mountain coaster. This exhilarating ride features 1.4 kilometres of twists and turns all the while travelling at speeds of up to 42/kmph. The Resort also features a four-storey Aerial Adventure Park, a 9-hole Disc Golf course, sightseeing, and an extensive network of hiking and mountain biking trails. In the winter months, Revelstoke Mountain Resort receives 30-40 feet of annual snowfall, covering 1,263 hectares (3,121 acres) of alpine bowls, steeps, glades, and groomers with a descent of 1,713 vertical meters (5,620 feet) - the most in North America. The Resort has two high-speed quad chairs, one fixed-grip quad chair, an eight-passenger gondola and a dedicated beginner slope with Magic Carpet conveyor lift.

- Richard SHong Kong, China12 contributionsRevelstoke Mountain Bike SchoolOur group of 4 (2 adults, 1 x 14 year old and 1 x 12 year old) had a brilliant morning at the Revelstoke Mountain Bike school. Sam, our expert guide, briefed us all on details of the bikes and the courses, ensuring safe navigation for us all. The rides are exhilarating and for young and older alike, are not an experience to miss out upon. I did take one tumble, after relapsing to my youth and attempting a jump. Fortunately, the safety equipment (gloves, elbow pads, chest pad, knee pads) minimised serious injury, though I wish I’d worn some protection for my groin! 😂😂😂 Overall though, the Mountain Bike downhill trails are definitely something to experience should you be passing through Revelstoke. And if you’re not planning to be, definitely consider re-routing your journey to accommodate it! Thanks to Sam and all the team at the Mountain Bike school. We had an amazing time.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 2, 2023
- YukoMcKamloops, Canada14 contributionsPipe coaster is fun! Must try!We bought a day pass, which I thought was pricey, but the pipe coaster is well worth it! We took the lift to the very top and the view was amazing. We hiked down from the midway to the base, it was less than an hour and easy but lots of downhill so if you have a knee problem, I wouldn't recommend it.Visited July 2023Written August 5, 2023
- 21105Macot-la-Plagne, France89 contributionsFun way to spend the daySuch a lot to do there, walking , axe throwing, mountain tracks, good food, adventure area. Shame the frisbee course was not better kept and the signposts for collecting the frisbees was awful. We arrived at the course, uphill through some very rough tracks, to find nobody managing it and seemingly that we needed to collect frisbees somewhere at the bottom of the hill. Like the people behind us we gave up and went to do something else. Coffee at the top of the gondolas isn’t great. Axe throwing was fun and the walking is beautiful, could perhaps have split the cycling and walking a little better as many cyclists seemed to consider us walkers as an obstacle. Staff all friendly and food we had was good A good day out all in allVisited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 21, 2023
- bikingmomCleveland, Ohio742 contributionsGreat Ski MountainThis was our 2nd trip to RevelStoke and it is one of our favorite ski resorts. It was never crowded and there is terrain for everyone. The blue runs are steeper then other resorts, but they are well groomed. Having the gondola is a bonus because it takes you high above the cloud/haze line. We saw blue sky, the mountain range and even the sun a few times at the top of the gondola. Mid mountain where we would eat lunch at the Revelation lodge was usually in a fog and truly hard to see from the gondola at times. This was our go to lunch spot for the variety. I felt the trails were well marked and the lifties could not have been nicer. My husband did a 1/2 day private lesson that he was happy with. I did a group morning lesson that only had 1 other person that was also good. We had drinks one afternoon at the Mackenzie outpost before they closed at 3 pm. Parking is easy and free. Most people put their gear on in the parking lot, we carry our gear in and used the lower level locker area. We would just stuff our things underneath the benches and they were fine. It was never overly crowded. We were here for 10 days, our first week the snow was amazing, this week ( 1/29/2024) the temps have been to warm and the terrain is more like spring skiing, even all the way at the top. We have been taking the gondola down to revelation lodge and to the base at the end of the day because of the slushy/unsafe conditions.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 30, 2024
- Margaret W K5 contributionsCute, nice mountain and town! I’d like to try Revelstoke again someday!I went here in 2019-pre covid times to “warm up “before a great Northern Cat ski trip. i guess Revelstoke used to be a cat ski place before lifts were added. Not a huge resort back then but I enjoyed the skiing. I don’t know if it’s family friendly yet. I stayed at a cute bed and breakfast near the hill-Wish i could remember the name because I enjoyed it . I was there for 3 days before going to catski locationVisited January 2024Traveled soloWritten March 12, 2024

Spend the day on Revelstoke Mountain with husband and 2 kids. We bought the all day fun pass (recommend this if your kids are 8 and up and you plan to do all or most of the activities). We had a lot of fun, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant at the top of the mountain, great food and the view would have been amazing if not for the smoke. Will definitely stop there again next summer!

We didn't stay at the resort but pre-purchased all day passes for the mountain coaster a week before we came to Revelstoke. When you pre-purchase you have to go on the day you chose and the website says go before 9am or after 5 pm to avoid waits. 8:30 am we go there and tried to navigate through crowds with no social distancing protocols anywhere or signage as to where to go or staff able to help. When we checked the wait time it say 3hours... Before 9am. So we thought we would go and come back later. When I checked at noon there was an 8!!!! hour wait. The close at 8pm so we didn't even get to go. This coaster was the reason we came to Revelstoke, though we found other cool stuff to do this was sooooo disappointing. Why even have pre-purchase on specific days if you don't control your capacity or time slots?

Hi Crystal, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback.
August 1-3 was a long weekend here in B.C. and we were facing unusually long wait times as a result (in fact, it was our busiest weekend on record!). Usually, if you stop by early in the morning or later in the afternoon (especially on weekdays) there are minimal wait times. We do encourage our guests to book online in advance as this will not only secure you a discounted rate, but it'll also grab you a guaranteed spot on the pipe for the day you've booked. You'll need to stop by Guest Services first thing in the morning to grab your printed ticket & number, but there is no obligation to stay at the resort while you wait for your time slot. You can keep an eye on numbers called on our website.
In terms of health and safety measures, we are doing everything in our power to keep our team and guests safe. All our staff and guests have access to masks (on the long weekend we distributed over 800 complimentary masks) and are encouraged to practice physical distancing. We have signage distributed all over the resort that asks guests to physically distance. We have a reduced capacity in all of our indoor spaces and this is being closely monitored by our staff. Click here to read about our commintment to health & safety: https://www.revelstokemountainresort.com/resort/health-safety
We hope that you can manage to make your way back to us at some point in the future!

Possibly the worst ski resort food we’ve had, ever. We’ve been visiting different ski resorts all over BC since 1996 and have seen outrageously overpriced lodge food..
This was something else, our sever was great very attentive and knowledgeable but the food was an absolute joke. We ordered a jug of beer at something like 27$ a jug, it came in a dirty beer jug which was 3/4 full. I mentioned this the server who dropped it off and she informed me we waited too long to pour our pints and the foam had flattened… the beer was an inch under the top bit of the handle….
As a restaurant manager +30 years i can tell you we were short poured close to 20 ounces.. our “jug” poured out to just over two pints. Observing it was busy we decided not to make a fuss about it.
Burgers looked like McDonald’s kids burgers.
Would leave 0 stars if possible.

Worst experience in my life at this resort especially the coaster and it’s staff. Bought single ride. Went up gondola stood 30 mins in-line . Coaster in front kept stopping on tracks , get to bottom told attended we want to go again as our ride was disrupted by slow rider in front. Attended say ok, we go up gondola, at top the attended says go back down n get ticket punched, which we were not told about. We go down and get new tickets. We come back up and staff purposely stop the gondola as we r 10’feet from top bc they know at 5 pm they close ride. It’s is 4:50 pm now. We wait as the only ppl on the gondola. I said I have asthma n can’t be closed in. After yelling I was calling 911 they start the ride. We get off, staff say sorry it’s closed bc of rain. The staff were laughing , made us feel so bad that I vowed we will never return to revelstoke again. We go back down again and complain to guest services , they said the staff is young and r not trained properly… they refund our money.
We waisted 3 hrs going up and down the gondola 5 times .. unacceptable, poor staff, no accountability, I need management to fire All coaster staff and re hire and re train. I and nor will any member of my circle will ever go back to Revelstoke again. Maybe our experience was because we are a coloured minority cpl. I have only one thing to say anyone wanting to go on this ride. Don’t go !!!!, don’t waist 3 to 4 hrs of ur time waiting,

We got the Play All Day Pass and used it to ride the gondola up to hike The Stoke Climb which had unreal views. Multiple mountain peaks, the river below, meadows, and meandering trails through the trees. We also rode the coaster a few times. There was a small lineup each time, but clearly September is the time to come to avoid disappointment. Happy hour at the bottom rounded out the experience. We wanted to do more, but ran out of time. We left very happy and satisfied, regardless!

Booked an “all day pass” Online during the week for Saturday... we arrived at noon after a 5 hours drive to be told that the pipe (main attraction) was sold out for the day with a waiting time of 7,5hours for the “early birds” that queues for 4hours in the early morning.
We weren’t given any other option than a refund and get told to enjoy the riverside.
No information about first come first serve is displayed on the main page of the website, you have to either know about it or go in the details of each attractions availables (so not on the page you actually purchase tickets from).
If online booking is available, courtesy would be to ensure the ones who book in advance a chance to actually enjoy their day instead of spending it driving.

The reason we went to Revelstoke Mountain Resort was to ride the coaster. The ride was undeniably fun. It will twist and turn you down the mountain towards the village. And they take photos of you too as you're going down the pipe. We thought these were quite expensive but as a keepsake or souvenir, we decided we'd get one or two. After all, memories of places we've visited and things we've experienced are important to us. Alas, we waited and waited but the pictures never came. We voiced our disappointment but the attendants and staff just gave us the run around. Nobody seemed willing to help us. We decided then we'd just purchase another ticket. As we were ready to buy, there was this young lady at the counter who told us there was no more need to pay as we could just have a redo ride. Finally, there was one kind soul who was ready to extend us a helping hand. Eventually, we got our second ride and the souvenir pics we have so earnestly sought. Obviously, some of their staff need some retraining with respect to customer service. Nonetheless, we were thankful to that young lady who made sure she did not spoil the experience for us.

Spent a full day at the resort. Kids (7 & 10) had a blast, as did us parents. We learned earlier in our trip that there can be up to a 7hr wait for the mountain coaster during peak season, so strategically I grabbed our tickets early in the day, then went back & grabbed the family. We all loved the coaster. You get 2 rides with the Play All Day pass. The disc golf is really fun & in a pretty wooded setting. Totally worth checking out but bring bug spray - lots of mosquitoes! The axe throwing was fun too. The guy running it was entertaining & encouraging despite our poor efforts! Aerial Park is decent but several pieces were not operational which may disappoint some. We couldn’t jump off the top. There’s a whole other section beside the main platforms that we were told requires some major fixes before they can be used. Looks like zip lines maybe. If you have ever checked out Edmonton’s Snow Valley aerial park it is similar, built by the same company. The staff told us they’ll be updating some of the sections for next year. If you are concerned about Covid-19 precautions, staff were all masked, shielded or both. There were efforts everywhere to maintain physical distancing & we saw equipment being sanitized after every use. There are lots of hand-sanitizing stations everywhere & they take your name & contact info for contact tracing at the restaurants.

Went to the resort hoping to do some hiking with my dog but they don't allow dogs on the lifts and there is no hiking allowed unless it is from the top. I tried the Pipe Coaster and it was a blast...until I caught up to the person in front of me and had to finish the rid going very slowly. Clearly, they need to monitor it better so people who want to ride fast can. One slow kid held up the entire line for several minutes. Then, when I tried to buy a copy of the overpriced photos, the payment thing didn't work. I suppose if you don't have a dog and like riding slowly, it wouldn't be so bad.

Love this place. Great resort with great people, great terrain, great powder! Lift lines almost non existent except for the lower gondola where everyone has to funnel up from parking. Even that, unless powder day and a weekend or holiday, the line wasn’t bad. But if it is a powder day and it is a holiday or weekend, be warned that that gondola line can take an hour to clear from the opening. Yes, that is the line on New Year’s Day at 8:30 am stretching out to the parking lot. Ski school did great with my kids as well.

Hi all,
We thinking of coming to Revelstoke for 2 weeks over Christmas 2019. My partner is an advanced snowboarded and I am beginner/intermediate. Do you think this mountain is too advanced for me for 2 weeks?
Thanks

No. We had the same fears last Christmas but it was fine. We had eight people from beginner to advanced and all had fun. Great town as well. Restaurants and coffee shops. I also went sledding which was fun. Big Eddy Pub, La Baguette for coffee, pastries, food. You will love it.

I'm sorry that I don't have a name for you. We were there in the summer and aren't skiers but contacting the resort would probably yield a few good referrals. We found them to be great with recommendations for reputable local businesses and I would expect they know the locals who get repeat business. Good luck and have a great holiday!

I personally have never heli skied, however I have hear that Selkirk and Mica are 2 great operations in the Revi area.
As for cat skiing, K3 is pretty good! That would probably be your easiest operation to get onto.
If you would really like to travel to fantastic place, check out Skeena catskiing by Smithers BC! The owners are amazing, the staff is welcoming and the snow is always on par, look into that for your next trip! Oh and if you do, book for the camping package, it's truly something to experience!

Hey guys, planning a road trip to Jasper mid July!
I'm planning on doing the pipe coaster but I'd love to know if its possible to park the car and hike up?
If so how long would roughly would it take?
Revelstoke M
Revelstoke, Canada
Yes - You can absolutely hike up to the start of the mountain coaster. You would just park your car at the resort and instead of taking the Gondola to the start, there is a wonderfully maintained and very well marked hiking path that goes from the village base to top of the mountain coaster. The hike is great as it lets you get close to the nature you will be zooming past riding the coaster down.
It would take the average person 30 to 45 min to hike up. You must purchase your Coaster ticket in advance at the village base - it includes the Gondola, but riding up is not mandatory.
If you are not comfortable with heights hiking is a great option, if that isn't the issue for you, then you can always just ride the Gondola for fun after riding The Pipe. Alternately, if you got a multi-ride ticket, you could hike up for the first ride and then take the Gondola for your other rides.
I would also suggest pairing the breakfast buffet with your coaster ticket - the breakfast is served at the Revelation Lodge near the start of the coaster. You can eat out on the deck and soak in the magnificent views of the Columbia Valley.
Have a great trip!

If you're staying at the Sutton Place, they have a ski package with reduced price tickets. If you're in Calgary, you can get reduced cost tickets at Costco - maybe online also. Otherwise, Liftopia or you can check their website for advance purchase, senior, etc. pricing.
