You and your partner join with another couple in a group of 4. Everyone moves through a series of fun and easy dance moves before moving on to a new couple in the line.
Dance caller Diane Silver describes it:
"You take long lines as seen in English country dances as seen in Pride and Prejudice, put in square dancing moves your learned in school, set it to the driving beat of River Dance, and drop this all in the middle of Woodstock"
We start every dance with a lesson to get you up and dancing in no time!

When:June 8th- 600-630 Please come help us setup!
- 630-700 New Dancer/Refresher Lesson
- 700-1000 Dance Dance Dance!
- 1000-1030 Please help us with clean up!
Where:
- First United Methodist Church (The parking garage entrance for the church is located at 163 W. Ninth St. Use this address for your GPS.)
- The church is big! You can get lost if you do not read the Instructions for the parking garage and ticket validation here: (Parking Instructions)
How (Much): $12 - Children under 12 are free
Why: Because contra dancing is great fun and great exercise with a fantastic welcoming group of folks.
Please help us and volunteer. Only a few minutes needed, and you can really help. We really need help with setup - if you can, please arrive at 6 to help us setup.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes you can dance in! Dress in layers ! Bring a water bottle - you will be glad you did!
