what exactly do you wanna know? cloud rap is all about the sample choice and use of reverb.
By the way I mean the style of production similar to a lot of Clams Casino's work and Lil B's 6 Kiss mixtape
I make a lot of cloud rap, working on a cloud rap beat tape right now actually. Look for samplees with vocals and pitch them up or down as you see fit. Lots of reverb. I like to make chops randomly in the vocals and just hit keys on my keyboard and see what I come up with. Mess with alot of reversing too. Some good artists to sample would be Imogen Heap, Enya, artists like that.

I'd love that man, I'm always looking for good vocal samples.
Dude these are great.
Not trying to advertise here but I've been trying to figure out if this beat would qualify as cloud rap. I didn't make it with that kind of intent, but I did make it with the intention of sending it to Lil B but I hadn't heard the term Cloud Rap yet
Yeah, it's kind of cloud rap, you could categorize it as that. Lil B would sound great on this beat, I look forward to hearing it on '05 Fuck Em. I sent him a few myself too, pretty excited.
Yeah I didn't end up sending it when I heard that he doesn't credit the beats he uses. It's one thing to use people's shit for free, it's another to have no mention of who produced it at all.
I send em just cause he's my favorite rapper and I'd be really excited to hear him use my instrumentals.
I actually sent Lil B a few of my beats also.
I just use a lot of pads for cloud sounding beats.
