      Critics Consensus

Being a sequel, American Pie 2 doesn't retain the freshness of the original, nor is it as funny.

eraklis e All time classic a great follow up maybe even better the first. Goes in the pantheon of lad party hype movies so relatable yet hits all the main dilemmas you face at that age and the emotinal struggles That go with it! Just makes you wanna tent out a beach house with your mates Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Lukas K I mean what the heck! The movie is a classic and great for what it is. I think its even better than the first one with genuine lol moments. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review cbcguy Fine comedy sequel, liked it almost as much as the first, although the first had more laugh out loud moments. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Ethan E This film has a great plot line involving Jim and Michelle, the highlight of this film as well as a catalyst for some really funny scenes. As well as those two characters, Finch and Stifler steal the show with their rivalry and are always a funny presence on screen. Oz and Kevin are just fine, less of a plot for them this time round. If you're looking for some lighthearted fun as well as maybe a bit of nostalgia watch this movie. Whilst it is definitely a film that often struggles to really justify why it exists - the storylines are fun and engaging. It does a really good job of articulating the strange transition it is to go from school to college/university. Jim & Michelle's story very much steals the show. Kevin's story is possibly the most irritating of the film. The Oz/Heather storyline is a little bland, but also an important aspect. Whilst the continuation of Finch/Stiffler's rivalry really helps to give it momentum. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
