梁迺聪1982年毕业于香港培正中学，同年考入香港中文大学数学系；1986年进入加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校，师从丘成桐教授，1987年获得该校理学硕士学位；1993年获得麻省理工学院数学哲学博士学位，随后进入纽约大学柯朗数学科学研究所从事博士后研究；1994年加入明尼苏达大学，历任助理教授、副教授、正教授；2004年加入香港中文大学数学系及香港中文大学数学科学研究所，担任教授 [3]；2010年获得第五届世界华人数学家大会陈省身奖 [4]；2013年当选为美国数学学会会士。 [1]

1968年，入读香港培正幼稚园。
1982年，毕业于香港培正中学骏社，之后升读香港中文大学数学系。
1986年，进入加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校，师从丘成桐教授。
1987年，获得加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校理学硕士学位。
1993年，获得麻省理工学院数学哲学博士学位，随后进入纽约大学柯朗数学科学研究所从事博士后研究。
1996年，加入明尼苏达大学，担任助理教授，后逐步晋升为副教授、正教授。
