Gonzaga University is a mid-sized liberal arts Jesuit university located in Spokane, WA, the second largest city in the state (700,000 people). Our community will help you discover your unique talents and gifts, as well as inspire you to push for greater equity, justice, and sustainability locally and globally.

Gonzaga’s faculty are ranked the 12th best in the nation for teaching undergraduate students (USNWR 2022). With an average class size of twenty-one, you will get to know your professors and they will help you grow professionally. We offer seventy-five academic majors and programs, and you have until the end of your sophomore year to decide your path of study.

GU’s academic environment  encourages you to learn by doing. Seventy-eight percent of our students participate in academic research, real-world projects, or internships. Ninety-six percent of our students begin jobs, graduate programs, or long-term service within 6 months of graduation.

Gonzaga prides itself on having big school spirit. Everyone associated with the University is proud to be a Zag. Nowhere is this more evident than on game days. Our student cheering section, the Kennel Club, makes the McCarthy Athletic Center one of the toughest places to play in all of college basketball.
