- bcheongShanghai, China44,979 contributionsFamous lake of course and in english, predominantly known as such. In french it’s lake leman. It’s split 60% swiss territory and 40% french. Do they draw an imaginary line, or divide with fishing nets, who knows. Pretty clean lake, you can see the fish from the shoreWritten May 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MerryheartSingapore, Singapore5,927 contributionsFamous landmark of Geneva which is a must see. It is nothing special on its own but it is set on a scenic spot with the beautiful & picturesque Lake Geneva surrounding it with the Swiss Alps as the backdrop. This is a great place for a walk anytime of the year.Written April 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sanka1 🇱🇰🇬🇧Bicester, UK5,558 contributionsA historic gothic cathedral in the heart of Geneva which provides gorgeous views of the town and lake. As the cathedral is located at the top of a hill getting there involves walking through inclines and stairs. But it's all worth as the cathedral is an architectural gem. It's free to enter and you can take photos inside. The entry is on the opposite side to the city.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- like_london151 contributionsIf you are a watch lover, then this is the place for you.
The museum exhibits all of the Patak Phillipe watches ever made. It gives you an appreciation for watches and the intricate attention to details given to every single watch.
We didn't opt for the audio guide as we were short on time but a good half day visit, especially for a rainy day.Written April 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great experience, the tour was led by a guy with a PhD in particle physics. Very informative.
Get there before 9 to snag the first guided tour of the day. Easy to get to on the 18 tram.Written May 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There were plenty of spots to settle and relax.Written May 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- IJBPfaeffikon, Switzerland17 contributionsVery interesting to see this famous complex of buldings from inside and learn more about history and the United Nations. The guides were great, humorous nice ladies, however the procedure to obtain permission to enter the aerea is overly complicated. Entrance fee is low, but as its often booekd out, you have to schedule several months before. Group visits see to be easier to get.Written January 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Abuwolverhampton426 contributionsA quirky restaurant, extremely popular with the locals, on a long jetty on lake Geneva.
Hearty portions of comfort food and well priced oysters to boot.
There are outdoor seats for dining in good weather and an indoor area with a blazing log fire for dining in bad weather.
I tried and thoroughly enjoyed both options.

They range from real looking to just a little weird but while not London Natural History Museum good it is still an interesting way to spend an hour or so.
In a city as expensive as Geneva somewhere free like here is certainly not to be overlooked.Written March 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - permiaIreland61,423 contributionsWith accommodation close by we saw this grand space many times.
Always busy, it has numerous cafes and restaurants, many with ample outdoor seating. Large umbrellas and coverings are in place in case of less clement weather.
An impressive fountain is a centrepiece. A circular basin is topped by an ornate column. A garland of colourful flora is an added attractive aspect.Written October 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Mary MEugene, OR80 contributionsIt's an old family home turned into a museum. Some neat items, but what's neater is the house itself. The basement where the rich family did business is impressive.
The coin exhibit is in French only. Still cool.Written May 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
