One of the worse service experiences ever . My husband and I thought we were being punked. Our server, needed 4 attempts to take our order. Food arriving in the wrong order, sausage arriving after the meal had been eaten, forgotten beverages, no biscuits with the entrees. The list goes on and on . When we spoke to the new owner, Michael, one of his first responses was “ you’ve had an off day before haven’t you ?” Will Never return .

This has been one of our favorite brunch spots for years. Alas, things seemed to have changed! My daughter & I were munching our way through the biscuits, & I said, "this doesn't taste like it usually does", and she said "I was just thinking the same thing!" We asked the server if the recipe had changed, and he said yes, in fact many of the recipes were changing as the management had changed & they were experimenting. Well, the experiment should stop. I had the trout, which I have had many times, and it just wasn't the same either. Tasted like run of the mill frozen fish, no zing or spice to any part of the dish. The jalapeño grits were just okay, with a think rubbery layer on top. My daughter's dish was similar, just kind of bland, not like Lucille's food has EVER been. And the biscuits...really, no taste. So disappointing. We'll probably try again, but if this is the new normal, we won't be coming back after that.

Hubby and I were in Colorado for the weekend and we just had to visit our favorite breakfast place! We decided to drive up from Denver since the Boulder location holds fond memories for us. We went on a Sunday morning around 9:30am and had a very brief wait. We hadn't been to Lucile's in many years since we (sadly) moved out of state and it was like stepping back in time--everything looked as it was before. I ordered the Eggs Jennifer and Hubby ordered the Farmer's Eggs (off the menu). Both meals were delicious, plentiful and the avocado with my order was perfect. We finished off with Lucile's delicious Beignets and on our way out, purchased their famous Spiced Tea and a couple of bottles of their Creole Seasoning. Absolutely worth the 40 min drive from Denver (there are 3 locations there as well)!

Seriously. Had a nice meal. Food was pretty good, as was service (although slow because they were busy) up until the end. Breakfast was $80 for a family of 3 without any alcohol, but it was pretty good. We had an appetizer and a main course. At the end of the meal we used the restroom (one by one because they have single stall unisex bathrooms there). We live an hour away and drove in to eat at Lucile’s. So during our bathroom visit for the rest of the family we saw friends and I stopped at their table to say hello. The manager interrupted me and asked us to leave the table because there was a wait. Super rude. We were not camping out or taking too much time. We waited an hour ourselves and we understand how the restaurant biz is, being owners ourselves. I was stunned. I’ve never asked people to leave my restaurant. He got his wish…we left and won’t be back.

Attentive server. Good food. Enjoyed the Chicory drink. A coupe things to consider. Hot chocolate has cinnamon sprinkled on top. Limited “American” style breakfast options, but great options if you go with an open mind. We enjoyed the eggs over trout and French toast options. Spicy sausage was great.

Luciles Boulder is in a cute Victorian house a couple blocks off Pearl Street. There is seating in a small porch as well as in a few small first floor rooms, but the place is always packed and the small rooms get loud. But the food is quality. Their shrimp and grits is excellent and also includes superb andouille sausage. Their benedicts, both Louisiana style and unique are also top thelf. The house brand Louisiana hot sauce is superb and goes exceptionally well with their plates.

I came here on the recommendation of a co-worker while I was visiting for work, and it was amazing. I had the beignets for the table - they were huge, and delicious. I ordered the eggs benedict and it was fabulous - the ham was out of this world. For the quality and the portion sizes, the price was great. I will be back for future visits!

Three of us ate at the outside tables for a late breakfast. The servings were more than ample with a nice variety. The buttermilk biscuits were so big and delicious. It’s dog friendly as well. Great freshly squeezed juices complemented the various egg dishes. I can recommend the French Toast with a Cajun influence. We are all looking forward to a return visit.

We had a short wait for brunch. My only real complaint from the whole experience is that it was muggy inside and we were sat right next to the bathrooms. The food options were extremely large and I was glad we could do a half order of beignets. I ordered the New Orleans style eggs Benedict with red beans, grits and Cajun potatoes while my spouse ordered the French toast. Both were filling and delicious. Would recommend for a delicious brunch spot.

Lucille's has always been a favorite restaurant since childhood. I visited after moving away and it is still just as good even though they have expanded to several locations (which sometimes compromised the quality of a restaurant). The buttermilk biscuits with strawberry/rhubarb jam are heaven on earth. Also don't miss their lattes served in a big bowl, French style. It's a very popular restaurant that doesn't take reservations, so we waited an hour in the hot sun but it was worth it.

We love this place for breakfast/brunch and drove 2 hours with the dogs to sit out and eat there. Worth the time spent although in one small respect, the kitchen was a tad off… We sat out with the dogs, lovely location. Food came quickly. I had the blackened salmon which was outstanding. My eggs over med came out hard (kitchen on eggs today was a bit off) but still wonderful. My wife had the trout Benedict which was very good but again, the eggs were a bit over done. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. Good coffee and my wife had a ice chai, excellent. Check out the pic’s; the food looks amazing. Took home three jars of their amazing Cajun spice rub.
