(SPOT.ph) When it comes to the performing arts, there's no better way to celebrate Christmas other than watching a live performance of The Nutcracker—only theaters have yet to reopen. In the meantime, the Cultural Center of the Philippines' resident dance company Philippine Ballet Theatre is excited to premiere their version of the well-loved holiday classic. You can catch it for free through their official YouTube channel on December 23 at 8 p.m.
The two-act ballet is adapted from E. T. A. Hoffmann's story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King and Alexandre Dumas' adapted story The Story of a Nutcracker. This particular show was filmed at the main theater of the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2019.
