WASHINGTON — A summer-like weekend to our unofficial start to summer. A few storms will be possible, but not a washout.

Saturday will be mainly dry with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. While a stray shower or storm is possible in the afternoon and evening, most everyone will stay dry. Where showers or storms move through late Saturday, some fog may develop overnight into Sunday.
Sunday remains the pick of the weekend with partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures near 90! It will be a great day if you're heading to the beach with temperatures in the 80s. Just remember, the water is still quite chilly!

Showers and storms are back for much of the day on Monday. While it won't be an all day washout, it will be mostly cloudy with off and on rain and thunderstorms.
As everyone heads back to work and school after the holiday weekend, plenty of sunshine will return for the remainder of the week. Temperatures will turn cooler in the low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday before falling into the 70s Thursday and Friday.
