Luke Bryan Takes a Hard Fall on Stage in Fan-Captured Video - Parade Skip to main content

Video footage captured by Luke Bryan fans during a recent music festival in Canada showed the country star taking a tumble while performing onstage.

Several TikTokers shared video clips of the moment online in the hours after Bryan’s April 20 performance at the Coast City Country festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. In the clips, the “Play It Again” singer was mid-performance when he began walking across the stage. He was near the edge when he appeared to step on something that made him slip, causing him to fall hard and land on his back.

The American Idol judge didn’t appear to be seriously hurt and quickly found humor in the situation. While still flat on his back, Bryan threw his arms into the air, pointing up with both index fingers as he continued gripping his microphone in his right hand.

After a brief pause, the “Crash My Party” singer sat up and laughed at himself. The crowd cheered as he stood and held a phone above his head, appearing to indicate that his foot had slipped on a device someone left on the edge of the stage.

“Hold up,” he said as his band behind him stopped playing. “Did anybody get that?” Several concert attendees who had their own phones raised above their heads to film his performance began showing him their screens, confirming that they had captured his spill on video. “I gotta see it,” he said before reprimanding one fan who seemed ready to post the video on Snapchat.

The phone that appeared to have contributed to Bryan’s fall was eventually returned to someone in the crowd. “It’s OK,” Bryan told them as he tossed the device into the audience. “Hey, my lawyer will be calling,” he joked.

Bryan joined more than 30 artists in playing at this year’s Coast City Country festival, a three-day event that concluded on April 20. Bryan performed at the festival three days after kicking off his Mind of a Country Boy tour, which he is scheduled to bring to the U.S. for a string of dates between mid-June and mid-September.
