Julian Glover CBE (born March 27, 1935)[1] is an English actor who played General Maximilian Veers in The Empire Strikes Back. He is best known for his roles as Aris Kristatos in the 1981 James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, Walter Donovan in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the voice of the giant spider Aragog in the 2002 film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Grand Maester Pycelle in the HBO series Game of Thrones. He was also featured alongside fellow Star Wars alumni Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi) as Hermann Fegelein in Hitler: The Last Ten Days.
His son, Jamie Glover, provided the voice of Veers in Star Wars: Battlefront II and Star Wars: Empire at War. Jamie also voiced the Sith Lord Darth Malgus in the Deceived trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
