Iowa's offense just got a big boost heading into the 2024 season.Star tight end Luke Lachey, who suffered a season-ending injury in the Hawkeyes' third game of the 2023 season, announced his intention to return for 2024 in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter."More work to be done," the post reads.Lachey tallied 28 catches for 398 yards and four touchdowns in 2022 as a redshirt sophomore and was expected to be the next great player to come through the Iowa tight end factory. After a strong start that saw him catch 10 passes in the first two weeks of the season, Lachey went down vs. Western Michigan on Sept. 16 and has not played since.Fellow tight end Erick All also saw his season end prematurely due to an injury, forcing Iowa's already limited offense into a bind.Iowa finishes its 2023 season on Monday, Jan. 1 in the Citrus Bowl vs. Tennessee.
