Great potential, room for improvement. Went there for staycation with the family and booked a room with rooftop garden. I read Tripadvisor in advance and knew about the slow checkin process, so registered at desk at 12noon and first (shorter queue) and the picked up key at 3pm. Worked well. The location is fantastic and can walk along the Sai Ha beach and into the shallow sandbed at low tide. Only 9min walk to Sai king town. There is universal manpower shortage in hospitality in Hong Kong so we accepted that the services would be slower and less attentive. Staff did well under the circumstances and working flat out. We booked a private bbq two weeks in advance at our rooftop but took 45min and three reminders (one including walking down to front desk) to happen. But the bbq was fun, wished there were more furnitures to put the plates and food. They used disposable bbq grill, the bamboo grill collapsed after 30min so we put foil over it. The reports on the hard mattress is true, so as the light from the bathrooms digital display (cannot turn off at night so ok if you like to imagine sleeping with the television on that’s how bright the light is). Breakfast is in four x hourly sessions so try to go to earlier sessions or risk running out of certain food items like yoghurt, sliced bread …etc. the lunch buffet was...Great potential, room for improvement.
