We recently stayed here in Family Room 2 with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The room is spacious with two large king beds, a couch and a bigger than normal hotel fridge (even had a freezer drawer). The foyer is lovely with free drinks all day/night and an area to sit and eat (they do not serve food though - you need to bring your own). There is a 24hr laundry and so many USB ports in the room I’m not sure anyone would ever travel with enough devices to used them all.

The location is fantastic - a quick walk from namba station (use exit 26) which has subway, JR and Kansai airport train stations. It’s also located right next to Dotonbori with tonnes of restaurants and street food options available.

If you’re a lover of soft beds you might be out of luck. The beds were firm, but still comfortable.

Would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Almost forgot - they also have free massage chairs in the foyer and a pool table.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel from 2 to 8 March. We booked the corner annex twin room. The room was very spacious and it could accommodate a 3-1/2 seater sofa in the room. Bathroom and toilet are separate. Lots of space to open up your luggages and hooks to hang your clothes. This is a small boutique hotel. It hasn’t got any facilities like gym, public bath, restaurant, but it compensated customers with their good and friendly services. Yui Adachi, Xu Youhui, Nagoya Koro (manager) and Mr Horie were very nice. They assisted us with directions and also arranged for a free shuttle car transfer from the hotel to the OCAT Bus Station which was much appreciated. This saves us dragging our luggages which is probably a good 15 mins walk to the Station.

There are 4 massage chairs to soothe your muscles after a day of tiring walk. Also there is a vibrating platform for those who wish to shed off some extras after all the irresistible food Osaka has to offer.

Just behind the hotel, 2 mins walk is Gyozaoh which serves delicious gyoza and karage chicken. Lots of eateries close to the hotel, not to mention the string of restaurants and eateries in nearby Dotonburi.

The only downside about this hotel is that there are lots of steps in the room. Step up from entrance to bathroom and toilet area. Then step down to bedroom. Probably not so suitable for people on wheelchairs. Apart from this, all is excellent.

There is a coin laundry open 24 hrs. 300 yens for washing and 100 yen for 30 mins drying. While waiting for the laundry, you could probably relax in the massage chair.

We will certainly stay in this hotel again when we return to Osaka next.

Our Family of 5 are well into our first Japan experience and organised a night stay over in Osaka. Hotel88 is a little boutique hotel and was selected due to its room space and site location. The rooms were perfect for us and Dotonnbori st was 2 mins away.

I am not one to comment on these pages but the effort Xu and the Team put in to help us on our overnight stay was second to none.

Firstly with the gang in tow and a heap of luggage we left our laptop bag at Kansai International Airport on the way to The hotel somewhere through the transfer to T1. With 3k worth of equipment in the bag and coming from Oz I would expect all these items to be gone. Not in Japan and not with Xu’s help. Within the hour she had tracked it down and had a reference number for me to collect the next morning!

After seeing some sights in Osaka the next day we needed to get to Kyoto via the Bullet Train which doesn’t leave from Namba. With a tired/grumpy 3 yo and a lot to carry Xu personally walked us the 10 mins (with one of the bags)down to Namba to help us get a ticket to Shin Osaka.

This is service I will never forget thank you to Xu and the Hotel88 crew for their help. Do yourselves a favour and give Hotel88 and go. It is amongst some great spots and even better Ramen ( which was also recommended by Xu)

Thanks Again 👍

Nice little hotel close to everything you need. We stayed here with 2 adults and 2 children 7&10. Had free soft drinks, coffee, tea and soup on offer in the lobby which is handy when you get back on a cold night! Staff were very polite and spoke English. Great prices for a very clean and spacious rooms. They don't serve breakfast but plenty to choose from within walking distance!

Walking distance from the subway and train station, walking from u deerhound, go to B4 and the hotel is 1 minute from the B4 exit. Room is really spacious. Great customer service. One of the best hotel service in Japan. I travel To Japan often and the staff at this hotel was very accommodating. Stay here and you won’t regret it. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

We travelled to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima on our trip. This was, by a long way, the best hotel we stayed in. The room was very spacious by Japanese standards. Plenty of room for suitcases and there was a lounge and coffee table. The hotel itself is lovely, and appears new. There is free coffee, soft drink downstairs as well as massage chairs, the decoration is quirky and stylish and the location is great. 5 mins from Dotonbori. There is an unlimited supply of eateries and shops only 5 mins away with the odd store only metres away. Excellent hotel.

We had a most wonderful stay here in the Deluxe Twin. Hotel was near the Midosuji Line Namba Station.
Room was fine with two huge comfy beds, a small sitting area, mini fridge, tv and above all, a massage chair! This helped tremendously in easing off tired limbs after a day's activity :)
Free flow of hot and cold drinks at lobby area brought relaxation and convenience too. We just needed to buy some food, heat it up in the microwave, get our preferred drinks and enjoy our meals at the round tables there. We did this every morning of the 5 mornings we had and missing it now ..
Furthermore, Namba Walk was a mere few mins' steps away. We did our shopping here and it was good, both for shopping and for food. Also because we didn't have much time to search around.
Above all, staff was friendly and helpful. They'd give useful tips on anything you needed to know.
Outside, being Dotonbori area, there're tons of food choices.
Den Den Town was easy to reach, just a stop away (to Nipponbashi Station). Young guys had a great time at the Anime town there, especially the Jungle Store. Kuromon Ichiba market was nearby Den Den town with lots of fresh fruits to select.
Going to USJ was easier because we just walked to the USJ shuttle bus stop (about 15 mins) (tickets bought from Klook).
Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay.
Finally, we wish to give a huge thumbs up to the kind driver who turned up so early to send us to OCAT at 0630, even though his hours actually begin only at 8 am. We deeply appreciate this considerate gesture because apart from big bags, we had a small child and young teenager with us and it was so cold in the early hours. Arigatou gozaimasu!!
We'll highly recommend this hotel to our other family members and friends. We'll definitely stay here again when we come again!

A lovely hotel located in the best location to explore Osaka - it’s only a few steps from the main high street and the Dotonbori Bridge and has multiple subway stations in walking distance to ensure all areas of the city are accessible.
You’re spoilt for choice with places to eat and drink in the immediate area.
We had a room on the second floor which was spacious and very clean and presented well on a daily basis. The hotel has a pool table and free drinks in reception which is a lovely touch after returning from a long day exploring.
The staff are very welcoming and polite and the room was available at a fantastic price. Would definitely stay here again if I was to return to this vibrant city.

Our recent stay at Hotel 88 was very comfortable. Staff was helpful. Location is at a quiet side street. One side was a few minutes away from an entrance to underground Namba Walk, which has restaurants, shops, plus access to subway. On the other side was an was an easy 10 min. walk to where all the action is.

Room was very clean and new. Lobby decor was artsy..so cute!

Coffee, tea, and soft drinks were available at an area off the check in counter. This area had chairs and tables and you can bring your food and eat it there.

Highly recommend you stay at Hotel 88.

Location was perfect. Room was sizable and bedding comfortable. The on demand lobby drinks were much appreciated. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond. Our husbands were late in returning from a shopping excursion when we had to catch the bullet train. The staff insisted that they drive us to the station rather than having us take public transport and possibly be late. This small gesture was so appreciated and relieved a lot of anxiety about commuting in an new city. Especially since I was wearing a boot for an injury to my ankle and wasn't getting around as quickly as normal and it was raining outside.
