About
When it comes to fun, Boomers is a blast! Whether you're celebrating a birthday, having a party, doing corporate parties, events and team building, or spending quality time with family and friends, Boomers makes everything easier and hassle free. With attractions like Batting Cages, Thrill Rides, Miniature Golf, Go Karts, Bumper Boats, Laser Tag, Rock Wall, Arcade, King Arthur's Carnival and Lil' Thunder Road, Boomers is the perfect place for fun! In 2014 make sure to visit Buccaneer Cove, our newest attraction. It's a super-sized water play area that's five levels high with slippery slides, wet tunnels, spray loops and a huge splash bucket. Make the fun happen with spray cannons and the interactive aqua dome. This new water play park includes over 1000 feet of water slides. And if you just want to watch the action, kick back in a comfy lounge chair.

For the party, there was no tracking of activity cards from the Boomers' side.
Nobody tells me to keep the receipt either.
One of our friend's kids lost his card and can not issue it even though he came with a birthday party.
Need a system update!!!
The staff is not supportive at all of this situation.
The manager said you have to buy our 87-dollar pass to get him a new card.
This is not the proper answer for any customer.

We were visiting Irvine for work and decided to go here on a Thursday night because we kept seeing from the freeway.

Arrived at 7:00 and purchased a package that we thought was a really good deal that included unlimited attractions (except for video games and batting cages) + a bunch tickets for the batting cages.

It was a Thursday night so it wasn't really crowded at all which was great- we thought.

We decided to do the go karts first so we got in line (there couldn't have been more than 25-30 people in front of us). The young guys working the track seemed in absolutely no hurry to keep things moving along to get people in and out of the attraction quickly.

We waited AN HOUR AND 20 MINUTES to get into a go kart. I have never waited that long for anything except a ride at Disneyland during peak season. It was absolutely ridiculous.

And on top of that, my boyfriend spun out when some dumb teenage boy hit him and no one that works there was paying attention. Instead of shutting the cars down immediately as they should have, he sat there as people drove toward him at 20mph. He was hit head on by some other dumb teenage boy before anyone noticed he had spun out and stopped the cars. The guys working the track seemed bored and disinterested and not overly concerned with safety.

We left immediately after that, spoke to a manager and asked for our money back ($40 + dollars). We were able to do ONE thing in an hour and a half. The manager did not seem very apologetic or concerned when we explained what had happened.

Biggest waste of time I've ever spent on vacation. Glad I got my money back but I'm sorry that I couldn't get my hour and a half back.

Can't speak to the quality of the other attractions as we were so turned off by our experience we left and I will never return.

Dirty, torn greens on miniature golf course. At one point. One of the kids we were with had to "fix" the fake grass carpet. Around a hole. Just so it didn't block everyone's golf balls. Sticky floors, weeds and just a general sense of management and employees don't care much for the property or its customers. Not to mention this place is in serious need of an upgrade. Much too expensive for what you get and experience. Please go elsewhere. Do not waste your hard earned money at this place.

Irvine, CA Boomers has always been my favorite because it was clean and well cared for...not anymore. It is a dirty, greasy, sticky mess like Westminster Boomers. This is the last year I buy passes for Boomers for my three grandsons. Bringing my grandchildren to Boomers is a treat but no longer can we buy food there. It is horrible with no healthy choices. Greasy pizza, greasy fries, greasy popcorn, vending machines never work....stand in line 15 minutes to get water. Tables are not cleaned off, wet, sticky like the floors... so sticky your shoes stick to them. Bathrooms are smelly and dirty. Arcade games sticky, greasy, water bottles and cups left on top of games and inside games with seats along with trash. Not a maintenance person in site; no on there to clean anything. Not a single trash can in sight unless you go all the way back to food area which has only one trashcan that is so full you cannot put anything in it. . Also in water park there is no place to sit and you are not allowed to bring a chair in. I paid $5 to supervise my grandsons and then had to stand for 2 hours because they had zero chaise lounges available. No cabanas available. It was 97 degrees n the sun, no shade. Will not go back to Boomers water park ever.

Yelp Review for Boomers:
1 star - fun for kids headache for parents.
1. Tickets! Waterpark only, nope slides are seperate ticket, passes, hourly limits, tickets for games cost more etc, etc, etc. can I suggest KISS! Keep is simple!!
Flat rates people.
2. Lines! OMG the lines I spend more time in line buying tickets and getting food than actually having time to play anything with my kids.
3. Customer Service!
Attendants at ticket counter - EXPLAIN the options. I DON'T want to get back in that horrible line in the hot sun for something you should have told me the first time! Oh and the people "watching" on the slides. Stop picking your nails and buying your fingers. Keep the line moving.
4. Food! Since you seem to like nickel and diming us over everything have waiters take orders at the water park and deliver, you could charge a delivery fee. Another suggestion, hire more staff in the summer. I have been waiting 30 minutes just to ORDER lunch. Still 6 people in front of me. That of course means my kids are loosing time on their passes!
I would rather pay more at Disney and have a better day than come back to Boomers!!!

I'm not sure why there's so many bad reviews. This place is great! I would recommend spending the $45 on a day pass( yes you can be here all day and have an awesome time), obviously trying to pay per play will add up & probably give you regret about the place(prepare better and get your kids an unlimited day pass) and if you buy one online for a few dollars more $49.99 you can get a season pass with unlimited visits for the rest of the month and each month has different promotional offers. For instance, we bought our pass this month and the promotion is half off all arcade games, and buy one chicken tender meal, get one free, so two meals for $8. Or, if you want to be smart, pack a light lunch and put it in your purse or tote ( couple sandwiches, snacks, and water-they also sell a souvenir cup that includes unlimited refills for $6). I've heard other promotions included discounts for friends or family. Our season pass came with unlimited access to the racetracks, rides, rock climbing wall, mini golf, Lazer tag( read in another review this isn't included- it is.), buccaneer cove ( if you also purchase the 19.99 water park season pass( worth it) and bumper boats. I put $50 on my child's game card and he was good to go for three weeks. The games are plentiful and awesome, they have a lot of trendy ones and we had minimal issues with them, maybe two were inoperable. I highly recommend the batting cages ( which I wish were included with the season pass but are not, at least this year). They are a lot of fun for adults. The mini golf is what you make it I guess but that's anywhere, it's like a typical miniature golf course like anywhere else. I'd say bring a lot of people or play it if it's your thing otherwise it will be boring.

Planning Tips: Eat before you come. Arrive when they open at 10am. Buy season passes for both parks. Do the water park in the morning until 2/3( hottest time of day noon-3). Head inside for lunch, utilize promotional dinning offers or eat your packed lunch. Play in the arcade area for a couple of hours, or go next door and bowl( kids bowl two games free in SoCal every summer at participating alleys- Irvine lanes participate-until 5pm, you're welcome) Head back to the outside activities around 6 when it is cooling down. The ultimate best time, to us, to do outside activities is after 6 since there is not much shade at the park. Lastly know what's best for your family before you arrive. Little kids can't ride everything- you should know that, buccaneer cove and 1 or 2 pay per play activities may be best for you. Teenagers would probably like the racetrack, laser tag and arcade games most, discuss what you're going to do before arriving or you may up end overspending and mad. Planning is key.

This is a horribly managed company especially this particular location!! They have no sense of priorities, attendant actually left my kids and 3 other small children stranded waiting a very long time while next in line for a ride ('Lil Thunder) during a slow period telling them "I'll be right back."(amount of staff exceeded the # of guests) while at least 4 others employees stood close by chatting doing nothing, and 3 managers with this ride attendant handled an issue with another guest who were yelling that they wanted a refund and were given it. When I asked all 3 of the managers to send someone else over they didn't, finally the Park Manager (who wouldn't approach me though his assistant told him of issue) actually yelled at me and was extremely rude, gave a lame excuse and lectured me about managing teenagers but had no answer as to why he couldn't delegate or manage them. Kids had to wait nearly 1/2 hour an hour while their employees were flapping their gums doing nothing. I wrote an email to the corporate office Apex Parks Group because they don't post a phone number, and finally after several days they responded by email with the same attitude as the park manager, they won't call you even if you provide a phone #. This location has a ride (Sidewinder) that has been broken for months which states "temporarily closed" but they have no intention to fix because they're trying to sell it, what a lie! Their employees give preference to their friends and family by letting them go ahead in line of my children who are paying guest while these other children are allowed to sneak on without paying. Another incident, they allowed kids who were under the posted height requirement to operate a vehicle in a very irresponsive manner, after noticeably driving erratically cutting me and others off, they slammed into me full speed while I was stationary waiting to exit their Thunder Road ride, I sustained a back injury as a result, the manager gave some lame excuse that the posted rules aren't the rules but up to the discretion of the ride attendant which their corporate officer denies. In fact all their corporate officer does is deny it's a mantra for them. I would never spend another cent here, after buying season passes for Boomers and their water park (Buccaneers Cove), hundreds on overpriced concessions that rivals Disneyland prices. They have no idea how to treat customers either at the park or corporate level, management is contemptuous of their paying guests. They have failed to respond and finally denied (after 2nd email) requests for a refund. Months ago I was thinking of doing my kids birthday parties here and renewing our membership for the following year, what a mistake that would've been!

This is a great place for a first date, a child's birthday party, a daycation, etc. There's an arcade, a rock wall, an amusement park ride, a merry-go-round, two 18-hole mini-golf courses, batting cages, bumper boats with water guns, laser tag, etc.

My 65-year-old friend and I played two rounds of miniature golf and had a blast, despite the very poor course conditions. The carpets are torn and peeling. The rocks are vandalized. The wood behind the tees is old and misset. But we still had a great time! It's a great place. It just needs some serious TLC.
