Lauren Bacall is considered one of the most famous classic Hollywood actresses of all time and for good reason. The silver screen star broke into the film industry in her early 20s and had quite the career. For starters, she began as a model before diving into Hollywood in a long list of iconic movies, including How to Marry a Millionaire alongside Marilyn Monroe. She also famously shot four films with her legendary husband Humphrey Bogart, including her cinematic debut, and won nearly two dozen awards, including an honorary Academy Award for her contribution to the Golden Age of film.

Even though Bacall was first and foremost lauded for her incredible on-screen talent, one can’t ignore the amazing outfits she wore through the years. From balloon-sleeved blouses to vintage Louis Vuitton handbags, Bacall’s style was something else. Ahead, we look back at some of her iconic fashion moments.
