Trick Pony is an American country music duo. It was founded in 1996 as a trio with members Keith Burns, Ira Dean and Heidi Newfield as lead singer. Heidi left in 2006 to pursue a solo career, at which time Aubrey Collins stepped in to fill in for Heidi. Collins only stayed nine months before leaving in 2007. Dean then left in 2008 at which time Trick Pony disbanded. In 2013, Newfield, Burns and Dean reformed the band, although Dean left again the following year, leaving Heidi Newfield and Keith Burns as the current members.

Some of the songs that Trick Pony is known for are “Pour Me”, “Whiskey River”, “Love Be Still”, and “Just What I Do”.

Heidi Newfield

Bryan Keith Burns was born November 16, 1963 in Atlanta, Georgia. He has four children; Frankie Jean, Savannah Leigh, Jared and Josh. Savannah is fighting leukemia. He is a singer-songwriter and lives in Nashville.

Ira Lee Dean was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 23, 1969 to Owen Dean. The singer-songwriter is single.

Aubrey Felice Collins was born November 6, 1987. On her leaving the group, she said that although she enjoyed working with the other two members, they had “different creative and musical visions.”
