This was our first stop after landing at SeaTac. We arrived in the evening and ran into another party of 3 who were leaving as we arrived. Other than that, we only saw one other man who was yelling and pacing in a different part of the cemetery. He left and then we were alone. It is a very serene place in a lush suburb. Totally worth visiting and the rest of the cemetery is interesting too. Jimi lives on!

It is what it is. That being said, it is a fitting tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Set in as nice a place as a cemetery can be. The centerpiece is a large metal stratocaster replica where people leave mementos. Guitar picks, cigarettes, cookies, notes, and even the remains of a joint. We were passing by and glad we stopped.

Interesting bit. Not Jimi's grave, but a memorial. Fun for a Jimi fan. Crosstown Driving is a hassle, but that might just be Seattle traffic

Easy to find. Beautiful tribute. Definitely worth the 15 min drive from Seattle. After spending short time here headed to Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park (5 mins away) for a few hours.

This is an outstanding memorial and tribute to a rock and roll legend, Jimi Hendrix. When you park in the memorial parking, you will walk towards your right and the memorial stands alone. The memorial contains numerous pictures of Jimi, as well as guitar tombstone. This is a good place to visit if you are a fan of Jimi Hendrix's music and his rock and roll legacy.

It was worth the trip. The grounds are lovely with a lot of other sites to see. Highly recommended, and take a rubbing!

"Hey Joe", If you are a rock musician, this is the place to be (just about 20 minutes from downtown).
If you are a guitarist bring a pick to leave in the monument's giant guitar

I have been here before by myself. This time I took my partner, in the snow. It’s truly a cool place to see and experience. Easy to get to with options around for other things to experience. Worth it if you’re a fan.

Always revered Jimi Hendrix as I am also a guitar player. It was a solemn and wonderful experience visiting his grave all these years. I think I prefer it back when it was a simple gravestone. It was a simple Granite stone with his name and the date and the grass was worn and muddied all around it from people walking and paying their respects. There were always flowers and offerings at the site.
However now, it's been turned into a bit of a temple and I don't think Hendrix would have approved. From what I understand he was a very simple down-to-earth guy. Remember, he was a hippie and really didn't care for Earthly possessions. The only reason I give this five-stars as out of my respect for the man himself. The shrine they have built is a bit ridiculous

The Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home opens 24 hrs, however; I don't think anyone wants to visit after dark :-) One gentlemen visited his daughter's grave, and he said he's heard voices of girl crying

Take I-5 noth, exiting to 405 east to Renton. This is by the Southill Mall. Follow about 2 miles to exit 4 on right. Stay to the left. This will swing you around. At stop light turn right and go west under 405. At light turn right. Follow to next light and turn right (east) up large hill. At very top of hill you will see college on left. Next intersection is Monroe. Turn right and cemetery is on your left. Park and short walk and you'll be at the grave.

Depending on which highway/freeway and traffic, 20 minutes. Half an hour at most.
