Rising from the ashes of early 70's horror movie obscurity comes KILLDOZER...this atmospheric little gem was one of the pioneers of the killer vehicle movie genre..The story focuses on a small construction crew, stationed on an island off the coast of africa...due to unforseen events, the hapless and seemingly doomed crew, encounter supernatural circumstances beyond their control..Alone, isolated, and trying to survive when an unmanned bulldozer, due to unknown forces, becomes a mercilessly marauding, murdering metal monolith..
This movie set the benchmark for which the standard of movies about killer road-building equipment could be measured. Okay, perhaps, the only one of its kind. Which effectively contributes to its charm.
Starring the always reliable 70's cult horror stalwart clint walker as the leader of the construction crew, this little chiller is now available in vivid blu-ray and a must have in any horror collectors library.

Remembered this from way back. It's based on a story from the old Si-FI mag and predates Maximum Overdrive. Simple story about alien possession of equipment. Video quality is a decent transfer and story isn't too bad. Good trip down memory lane if you have seen the movie and like seeing these old stars.

Loved this movie as a kid. It's cheesy, but I still really like watching it and adding it to my movie collection.

1.0 out of 5 stars DVD Won't Play

I was really looking forward to watching this movie and when it arrived I was excited to watch it. Unfortunately it won't play, I tried it on two universal (ignores region restrictions) DVD players and it didn't work on them. I tried out other DVD's and they played them just fine. I don't see any scratches on the DVD so I am confused as to why it won't play... It is the first DVD that I own that has a blue shiny part instead of a white/gray/silver shiny part.

5.0 out of 5 stars great made for TV movie from 1974

I saw this when it first aired back in early 1974 as a kid. With a plot about a bulldozer which becomes possessed by an alien intelligence the movie is kind of unforgettable. I think it was an ABC movie of the week. I later learned Marvel even did a comic book adaptation of it. I never got to see it again until it came to home video. I have both the Universal vault DVR and the Blu ray from Kino Lorber. The Universal DVR was watchable but the Blu ray is definitely an improvement in picture quality. The only complaint I have about it is about the package art. It makes the movie look like a straight to video movie from the 2000s. But unlike the universal artwork it's not kill loader
