Being an older student, so far I have had great Professors and met great faculty. I even learned that my school had a good pantry and a basic needs coordinator who has also been a great help in my life. Also, with the exception of one class, all of my classes have been on line, which has been wonderful for me.
Solano Community College is the first college I have attended, but it has been a place where I have seen enthusiastic professors and much student support services, such as tutoring.
What I like about Solano is the many programs they have to offer that support students. the EOPS program helped me a lot with counseling, teaching me the in's and outs of transferring when I was ready and even offering grants and gas cards to help aid any financial restrictions students face. I would like to see change in overall school management and administration.
Amazing professors who genuinely want to see you succeed, affordable and will get you far, I had an amazing experience and the professors that I have met will stick with me for life.
It is a very fine community college. The professors I have had from general ed to my art professors have all been attentive and supportive.
As a student at Solano Community College, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The college provides a supportive and inclusive environment conducive to learning and personal growth. The dedicated faculty and staff are committed to student success, offering guidance and resources every step of the way. The diverse range of courses and programs available caters to various interests and career goals, allowing me to explore different fields and expand my knowledge. Additionally, the college's convenient location and affordable tuition make it accessible to students from all backgrounds. Overall, my time at Solano Community College has been enriching and fulfilling, laying a strong foundation for my academic and professional journey.
Solano is a great community college for students who want to save money by getting their general education studies out of the way before transferring. The professors are great, friendly, and helpful. The campus is older but adequate. There are not a lot of social activities or nightlife in the area but overall, it has been a very good experience.
Solano Community College is a great start toward a career. They offer many associate programs, however I do wish they offered Computer Engineering.
I feel that Solano Community College has brought me great knowledge to my academic career path. The professors were amazing and the campus itself felt very welcoming and helpful. I wouldn’t feel the need to change anything.
Solano Community College is a great option for students looking to earn an associate's degree or to transfer. The campus is newly renovated and large. It is easy to meet new people who are similar to you in classes. Campus events are very inviting and always worth attending. Overall Solano Community College is a great community college.
It was great, the only thing I dont really like is the tranmission is a little confusing when the confirm email got send to spam. They dont send text to phone to confirm but just only email.Everything else is great.
It is a great community college. Campus is safe and the teachers are honestly amazing. All my teachers were friendly and want to teach and help you learn. Even when I decided to go back to school, my first thought was Solano. Counseling staff was always so helpful and helped me get my three AA's. Classroom sizes were never overpacked and I felt like the teachers responded to me when needed. I took all online classes last semester and all the teachers communicated quickly and were very personable.
The professors at this institution really strive to help their student’s succeed. They offer programs to help a variety of people and there are continuous events to help students. The only thing I would like to see change is the hours the library is open. It would be helpful if they could be open longer than from 9-5.
Staff was very kind and thorough. I had an issue with a professor and a grade, I talked to the Dean and he immediately helped me.
Solano is a very diverse and small community college that was very welcoming. The professors at this college that I had classes with were very interactive and empathetic. If you are ever having any trouble in any classes, Solano has a library with tutors across various different majors and subjects which is very helpful. Everyone within this college is determined to help one another which I found to be important and very helpful. It is also a very calm setting where this school is located, it has a beautiful environment. Something I would like to see change in this college is the expansion of sports. Unfortunately I play soccer and there was only a women’s soccer team so I was not able to enjoy playing soccer at collegiate level.
though i'm still new in the first semester, it's been honestly a really nice experience. the teachers i have are nice and flexible, really easy to talk to and get help from, people who serve lunch are really kind too, nice relaxing areas and such. one thing i do worry about is the teachers i could have in the future because i have one teacher who does know what she's doing, but her teaching style isn't for me and it's a bit difficult to express that. besides that one worry, i don't have much to say. i haven't participated much in their events, but it does look interesting and i wouldn't mind trying to experience it more
Fairly inexpensive with some great bioengineering and nursing programs, teachers are helpful and passionate, and campus newly renovated. Could use a better art department building.
