It would be in North Carolina where he would carve out a name for himself both at the high school and collegiate levels. Jordan would play his college basketball at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under legendary coach Dean Smith. In 1982, Jordan would help down Georgetown in the NCAA championship game with a game-winning jumper at the buzzer.

Michael Jordan began his NBA career in 1984 with the Chicago Bulls. As much effort as he had given on the floor, Jordan would not become an NBA champion until 1991.
