Place was packed and very busy. Food took a minute but staff was friendly and burger was good. Convenient location too!!

Shake Shack has a screen you order from, then sends you a text saying "We'll send you a text when your order is ready". The place was very crowded and noisy, so waited and waited for a text about my family's order. Eventually went to the counter and asked. The staff was nasty and said "We called your name" I said I couldn't hear it, and didn't get a text. The lady at the counter insisted they had sent one. Showed them my phone and the lady nastily still said they had sent a text until I insisted she look at the phone. She then repeated that they had called my name. No apology of any kind. Food was cold. Really sorry I had tipped them when I placed my order. Very different than my experiences when visiting other Shake Shacks.

This was our second visit. The line is usually out the door but moves fast. There are several screen for self service ordering and they also take orders. The place is usually full and we had to sit outside (which was a little chilly). The food (burgers and hot dogs) was very good. They have good shakes and lemonade too. This is a great fast casual option near downtown and Ford's Theatre.

Prices are little high but that is typical Shake Shack. Service was actually very good. I am not fan of Shake Shack but this time it was very good. Tables were clean.

To be honest, I am not quite sure how to rate this eatery. On the positive side, the service was great (the person who brought me my food was super efficient), while the shake and fries that I ordered were pretty good. Unfortunately, all of these positives were undone by a veggie burger that was poor.
Perhaps the meat burgers here are delicious, in which case I can understand giving this place four or five stars. In my opinion, however, the veggie burger undermined what was otherwise a tasty meal.

We had dinner here on the way back to our hotel from the National Portrait Gallery. The restaurant was crowded but the line moved pretty quickly and after ordering, we didn't have to wait long for our food. My wife and I were a bit disappointed in that there were two flavored lemonades advertised but when we went to order they said they were out of both except regular lemonade. I had a regular lemonade and it was very good but I have to deduct one star. Don't advertise something you don't have. I had a fried portobello mushroom burger. I was a bit surprised as I thought the burger had meat too but it was just a breaded portobello mushroom which had been fried. Still it was very good and tasty and didn't need the meat! The rest of my families enjoyed burgers. I don't remember if any of us had a shake or not. It is a good fast food place and the employees were all nice.

The burgers are ok, not amazing, but solid. They are not very big, but it worked for us since we were getting fries and shakes, as well. The mushroom burger is a nice option with the melted cheese and the lightly fried mushroom. The crinkle cuts fries are nice and crispy and light. The best thing, for us, was the shakes. The chocolate churro shake was like eating a churro - such great flavor. The chocolate Oreo with funnel cake was excellent, nice big pieces of Oreo and then the great funnel cake flavor. Both were fantastic. The staff was very nice and the service was quick.

This restaurant USED to have excellent burgers! But something is very different since Covid started, so I guess some of the bad can be ascribed to the pandemic. However, the difference was AWFUL!! We were there on Wednesday October 20, 2021, at around 5:30 pm. It was very crowded so we waited 40 minutes for 2 burgers.
One was the large Shack Burger and the 2nd was a lettuce wrapped Shack Burger, that I've ordered many times. We also ordered cheese/bacon fries which were excellent. However, the burger on the lettuce wrap (doing no carbs) was terrible! The lettuce was wilted and warm, with brown edges, which I removed. The actual burger was flat like a graham cracker and I don't know if it was even beef! There was 1/2 slice yellow cheese like substance and the tomato was rotten, so I removed it as well. I was so disappointed especially since we drove from Milford in rush hour traffic (on the way home was worse!) and we were really in the mood for a "Famous Shack Burger" enough so to make a 25 mile drive. We will NOT GO BACK!!! Maybe they'll eventually realize that they've cut back way too far! I would rather have gone to Wendy's.

Stopped at this Shake Shack yesterday and cannot say enough about the efficiency of the employees at this location. The cashier was terrific, friendly and courteous. An employee was working through the dining area, taking customers' trays when done and keeping the area clean. The food was terrific--hot and tasty.
Will definitely be stopping here again the next time I'm in DC!

Inspiring food it is not, but when you are all the way across the mall, hungry, and have just discovered those clouds you saw before entering the museum have turned into a splashy downpour, a quick Uber to Shake Shack is just the solution. We ducked out of the rain just before the lunch crowd and split up (grab a table) others (order food). They were way too expensive, but the cheeseburgers were juicy and the fries were flavorful. The staff was friendly and efficient and doing their best to serve the crowd. We weren't in any hurry, but the food took 15 minutes or so to come out. So with time to spare, money to spend, and a need for air conditioned shelter Shake Shack will work. Ha!

I am an Adult male. I expect something called a "hamburger" to be of a certain minimum size. Shake Shake "burgers" are more of a "pretentious slider" than a normal sized hamburger. The shakes are extremely disappointing. My strawberry shake tasted like "thick cough syrup". The flavor was not anything close to natural strawberry. The fries were odd and totally flavorless. No seasoning, no salt. Just over priced bland.
There are good restaurants. Then there are "concept restaurant " . Shake Shack is among the latter. I wouldn't mi d the outrageous prices, or even the microscopic portions... but there is WAAAY too much attitude.
Best just to pass.

I have tried this burger several times but frankly speaking, it may not my style. It always makes me feel quite oily, the french fries are too rich and can't finish it.
For a quick meal or snack, you can try this one. And the staff are good to help the order. Just a quick bite and go.

The hamburgers and shakes are average. The company, with its thousands of employees took $10 Million out of the CARES act meant for small businesses. This caused the funds to run out long before many of the truly small businesses could actually obtain any funding. If you are listed on the stock exchange, you are not a small business. Thanks for having a hand in killing the American Dream. I will NEVER darken the doorstep of one of your restaurants again!
