Tables, Ladders & Chairs is one of the best matches WWE ever created

A TLC match is a special stipulation match that has taken place in WWE since 2000. TLC matches are the abbreviation of Tables, Ladders and Chairs. The match is a variation of a ladder match, which featured other legal weapons including Tables and Chairs.

The traditional way to win the match is by climbing the ladder and unhooking the title(s) or a briefcase. However, WWE has also hosted TLC matches with the traditional pinfall or submission rules. The success of the TLC matches resulted in a separate pay-per-view from 2009, with WWE having a great history with TLC matches, and won the most TLC matches in WWE history.

Who has competed the most TLC matches in WWE history?

The Rated ‘R’ Superstar Edge has competed in the most number of TLC matches in WWE history. Edge has wrestled in a total of seven TLC matches, in which he won 5 and lost 2, three of which were Tag Team ladder matches, and all the matches were championship matches.

Edge’s all TLC Matches

Edge’s first TLC match was at SummerSlam 2000, where Edge teamed up with Christian and successfully defended their WWF Tag Team Championship against The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz. This was the inaugural TLC match. (1-0)

All three Tag Teams again wrestled in a Triple Threat Tag Team TLC match at WrestleMania X-Seven, where Edge and Christian won the WWF Tag Team Championship from The Dudley Boyz. (2-0)

Similar to the first two TLC matches, the third TLC match was also for the WWF Tag Team Championship, but this time in a Fatal 4-Way match involving the same three teams and adding the team of Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit, where Benoit & Jericho won. (2-1)

Edge days after winning his first WWE Championship successfully defended his title on the line against Ric Flair in a TLC match on Raw. This match marks the first-ever singles TLC match in the history of WWE. (3-1)

In 2006 Unforgiven, Edge defended his WWE Championship against John Cena in a singles TLC match, where John Cena defeated Edge to become the WWE Champion. This marks the first singles TLC match loss of Edge. (3-2)

In 2008 One Night Stand, Edge and The Undertaker wrestled in a TLC match for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship, where Edge won the title. (4-2)

At the TLC: Table Ladder & Chairs pay-per-view, Kane defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Edge in a TLC match, where Edge defeated Kane to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. This marks the last TLC match of Edge in WWE. (5-2)
