i usually i dont post comments unless its really bad or really good and this time i am happy to post something positive to the public. In one sentences - this place is amazing and exceeded our expectations by 200%. and if in details here is my comments / suggestions:
1. book a room in preferred section. you are going to get personal butler and this makes things so much smoother. anything you need just text the guy and its done. we had Jean Carlos and the guys was awesome. He was like our shadow, not too much in our faces, but when we needed him he was right there.
2. Compliments to Chief Aaron. My wife has gluten allergy and Chief Aaron was personally making her meals to make sure their are gluten free . very pleasant gentlemen and very accommodating
3. The property is very clean and updated. Rooms are on a bigger side and all has jacuzzi on a balcony or patio, no molds or funky smell. Also all rooms within walking distance to the beach, no need to wait got trolley or anything.
4. Beach has very little seaweeds and its cleaned few times a day. no seaweed odor either. no rocks or seashells on seabed so you can enjoy barefoot. i strongly suggest to rent their cabanas , it makes experience so much better with personal server and premium drinks
5. Lastly but most important it the quality of service. its our first time in Dominican Republic and i was kinda already settled to receive same service as in Jamaica ( who been there knows what i am refereeing too : ) but this place is 5 levels above. it even beats some of 5 star resorts in USA. Everyone is super friendly and truly trying to accommodate your needs. as they same my home is your home, and they truly mean it :)

Dreams Royal beach is a perfect place to visit when you wish to get away. The service here was like no other. All of the staff was delightful and they anticipate your needs. Specifically, Junior and Kevin were a part of the entertainment. They were very energetic, helpful and worked to make sure we had a great time. The room was above average and cleaned daily with turn down service which included pillow chocolates. In the serving area Angel, Felix at the grill and Carlos at the bar took great care to provide above average service. The entire team works together and genuinely appears to enjoy their roles at the resort.

During my stay and there was an excessive amount of seaweed in the ocean as well as high tides/waves doing a portion of the stay. Barriers were put in place to block the seaweed as well as cushion the waves. I’ve never seen this before but they did all that they could to make sure that our time here was safe and enjoyable.
The beach is beautiful. Though there are many vendors allowed to attempt to sell their goods after several days this is worrisome.

The food options at the restaurants as well as in the buffet dining area is the only area where improvement is needed. The food is not always held to temperature. The deserts were all a miss. The grill served fresh meats which were cooked well. But, same utensils used on all meat. This was a challenge with a food allergy. The omelets were amazing. The fresh pasta bar, was good as well. The seaside grill restaurant and Portofino are the only ones I would recommend. Although, the food left some things to be desired, that would not at all stop me from visiting this beautiful place again. I will also note that they are very responsive to requests when made. Their Covid team sanitizes each location after every guest as well as arranges for your testing so that you can return to your home safely and without any additional cost. I look forward to my return here. This is a gem. Beautiful place and beautiful people.

We took a long weekend trip to Dominican Republic over valentines. Dreams Royal Beach opened in December and I cannot say enough good things.
Safety, cleanliness and an incredible staff. This is my 3rd all inclusive and the employees by far are the hardest working, most friendly individuals. From check in to check out we were impressed.
Covid rapid testing done on site for free
Constant cleaning and great safety protocols. 82 degree heat and masks on each and every employee but you could always see a smile.
Food was plentiful we ate at oceana (pumpkin soup was great and ceviche)
Fusion Tempanyaki was delicious and sushi was great
Eduardo took great care of all questions and needs.
The pool wait staff Jeffry, Jefry and Omar keeps us with full drinks and laughter
Carlos and Juan at portofino for the preferred al cart lunch were awesome, as was the food, sushi and salmon! We went 3 days in a row.
Manny and Ruddy at the buffet.
Felix creating omelets at the buffet. So good!
Deloris at front desk check in was efficient and friendly
Allan with VIP services was knowledgeable and great.
Maria our housekeeper brought us chocolates on valentines which was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed whenever she saw us.
Mal (I didn’t catch his full name) took care of our luggage disinfecting, delivery, pick up and loading I didn’t have to touch a thing!
When I say the staff here goes above and beyond, they really do.
Beach was clean and due to low capacity/crowds plenty of space. Plenty to do and see if you want. The staff wasn’t pushy with activities.
We had room 4352 which was pool side preferred, top floor. The bed was amazingly comfortable, clean and we could watch the sun rise from the balcony. We arrived to fresh fruit and champagne and a stocked mini bar.
The ocean is less calm on Bavaro since it’s the Atlantic side, the beach is cleaned daily of seaweed and there are vendors supporting their families but just say no thank and they say have a nice day.
Tips. Bring a small float for the lazy river pool that winds through, plenty of sunscreen, they provide towels at the towel hut. We booked through Travelocity, Expedia does their airport transfers when you arrive, we paid $68 for round trip private transfers since Covid.

My Family arrived at Dreams Royal Beach Resort May 10th,2021. Great Resort! I would have to say the resort was very clean. The workers and staff try to sanitise as best they could and also have face coverings. The only issue I noticed was some of the rooms smell very musty (luck of the draw. Some rooms smelled worse than others.) My wife and I ended up paying extra for preferred to have the option for top notch liquor, pool outside of our room, butler service, and other private areas that only preferred members can access and utilize. The Entertainment was very good. I remember one particular entertainer kevin (other entertainers were fantastic too) who is very energetic and always inviting people to dance or do activities. The resort has a very fun / relaxing atmosphere. Julio along with the other bartenders were always on top of getting my family (of 22) shots and drinks when we requested by the pool side. Our butler Billy was incredible with responding to questions and serving my little family of 4. My daughters face got a bit swelled up from the sun staying in the pool for too long. I texted Billy (on whatsapp) for aloe Vera and within 5 minutes he brought over a new bottle of aloe vera ( didn't charge me.) Also had an information issue with my covid test and Billy took care of it quickly and handed me the corrected printed copy. Overall the food at the resort wasn't bad. My favorite was the fish, burgers and omelets. The night performances were entertaining and interesting to watch (magic show was my favorite.) Overall I would recommend this resort for anyone who wants a relaxing/ good time.

I loved the hotel and the amenities. My husband and I went on a honeymoon and it was very clean. Staff was super friendly, loved Claudia and Jr. The Concierge was very helpful and I wish I would have gone to her first thing because there were so many activities I could have done that I had no idea about! She truly went above and beyond for us, helping us with our COVID tests and being such a sweet heart. If I had some criticism is that the hotel advertised a few activities like the banana boat as free and part of the package, but we were charged at the beach. The food was good but not great, sometimes things would be really good but other times they would be dry and taste old; their ceviche really confused me too because while it was good there were some black spice added to it that felt like we were chewing on rocks. Their lobster tasted over cooked and rubbery on the romantic beach diner, to the point where we didnt even finish it; seasoning was good though. I also think they can work better in their organization. When we got there my mom had arranged with the hotel staff to make the room beautiful for us but it was not at all despite offering to pay for it and being refused by the staff, ensuring that they would provide the service for free since they do it for all honey mooners, come to find out when we asked about it after 3 days, that they don’t do that anymore due to the rain Forrest protection (which I admire but please let us know instead of creating this misunderstanding). We arranged for a romantic diner and upon arriving we were told we had not made a reservation, they also added a birthday cake to our reservation that we didn’t ask for, saying the table was for a family celebrating a birthday. While the staff tried to maje us feel better we did have to wait there for 30 mins waiting for them to fix the mishap. Overall good experience but please fix the organization issues.

Literally got back last night from a 5 day trip to this resort with a group of 25+ including spouses and kids from our offices as a "recognition trip" and couldn't have been more happy with how everything turned out. The grounds were well kept, pools and beaches were awesome and food, food, food! The resort and staff were also very aware and observing multiple safety precautions for COVID-19 and they were constantly cleaning the tables, chairs, and even beach chairs with UV light sanitizing spray guns. Word of advice, spend a little extra on yourself and get the Premiere Club where you are given a Private "Butler" to help you during your stay. Ours was Billy and he was absolutely awesome - if you're going, request him and you won't regret it!

We arrived to a champagne reception which was welcoming and friendly reception staff which seemed to kick off our stay in a really positive manner. However, we had a couple of immediate issues with our room- air conditioning had a damp and mouldy smell and the floor was dirty as well as the mini fridge with half drank drinks. We spoke to reception next morning and housekeeping cleaned the room again but we did not keep the AC on just in case any mildew remained in the unit and the big fan was cool enough for us anyway. Room is big but furniture dated and lots of permanent stains. There is a beautiful river like pool and a luscious infinity pool near the big tent- which is much warmer, calmer and relaxing compared to the loud pool with the Sea Legs swim up bar closer to the beach. The beach was relaxing and had plenty of sun loungers but we were disappointed to discover the sea is not clear at all, you cannot see your feet in the water and it’s full of seaweed (we personally hate the sensation against our bodies in the water), this is not the resorts fault but we thought the picture attached to the TUI website is not the same beach we had and is in fact a stock photo (therefore unethically miss sold on the real beach) This changed our holiday experience when you’re expecting a clear Caribbean Sea as we went in it for a grand total of 5 minutes. The different evening restaurants were nice to have and offered variety each evening, fusion is the best and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast, but buffet lunch and dinner were not great. We also recommend the pizza from Portofinos for lunch as these were really good quality. Service by the pool was hit and miss so we stopped ordering with them and went to the bar to get drinks ourselves as it was much easier. Staff during our stay were mostly friendly although language/accent barriers did limit quality of service and we did not appreciate one of the security guards manner on the beach who questioned whether we were staying at Dreams in an aggressive way when we were just trying to relax on the swings and this made us feel uncomfortable but everyone else was nice. Overall the resort was good but we weren’t blown away and due to the sea did not feel like we were enjoying a real Caribbean experience. For British guests I would not say it is worth the 9 hour flight as you can get better for less in the Mediterranean.

I highly recommend this place if you are looking to go to Punta Cana. Look no further, this is IT. It's a beautiful place, with clean rooms & clean pools. The rooms include what you need for your stay to the smallest details like a clothing line in the shower that you can pull out the wall and matching robes and slippers. Besides that the employees here is what really makes the place special. They will take you in and make sure to take care of you. If you need something just ask and you will be accommodated. They are the sweetest, humblest, hard working people that are on top of their customer service. The breakfast buffet was great and has a variety of food to eat. The waiters at the cafe are exceptional. We enjoyed our stay from the beginning to the end. Thank you to Juan Jimenez and his team for always providing exceptional service at the breakfast cafe in the morning while we enjoyed our breakfast by the beach. We are truly grateful for everything and everyone at this resort.

My husband and I booked this at the last minute and we are so happy we did, the 5 star reviews are not one bit misleading. The resort is stunning, it is beautifully maintained, and exceedingly clean. However the staff here really made this trip stand out. When I booked the room, my only option was preferred club. This was our 4th time to an AMResorts property however we had never stayed in the preferred club. We were greeted by our butler, Roberto, and from check-in to check-out, he was fantastic. He was available to us through text message and went out of his way to make our stay extra special. I told him it was my husband’s birthday and he turned it into a birthday week for him, with two beautiful cakes, champagne and rose petals. I highly recommend preferred club and if at all possible, try and request Roberto. My sons (11&8) adore him and want to go back just to see him again.
The entertainment team at Dreams Royal Beach is also excellent. Kevin, Dark Chocolate and Black Panther kept the vibe fun and festive and regularly engaged the guests, but not in an overbearing way. It was a great balance of fun and relaxation.
The bartenders and pool wait staff also have to be mentioned. They are such hardworking people- please tip them accordingly. They make it a point to know your name, anticipate your needs, and provide quick service. Big Jefrey took care of us everyday at the pool and made sure we were always hydrated. I also have to mention Euclides, Omar, Alberto, Jose Manuel, Michael, William, Jefrey P and Orquidea. I know I’m missing people but truly everyone was amazing. They all provided service with a smile and indulged my kids all week.
Finally, if you are a person who is overly worried about COVID, you have no reason to worry here. The staff is 100% compliant with masks and every time you enter a restaurant, you are offered hand sanitizer. The chairs are distanced at the pool and not one time did we feel cramped in or crowded. If fear of covid is holding you back, you’re missing out!

This was my first all inclusive as an adult and I was not disappointed!

We did the preferred partial ocean view booking, the price was very reasonable. checking in was a very pleasant experience, we were given drinks right away and sat comfortably while our rooms were picked. our room wasn't quite ready, so while the other couple who checked in with us were taken to their room we were given a great tour of the facility by Juan. He was so great and friendly I knew right away this was going to be a great trip!

When we got to the room our bags were delivered and we were given all the help we needed from out wonderful butler Roberto. the room was very nice and clean, there were robes and slippers and nice towels etc. bed was large and comfy (mattress was on the firm side for those who are wondering).

every day we had excellent service at the restaurants, the staff could not have been more friendly! some of the people who made it extra special were Freddie at the wold cafe buffet, Juan at the seaside grill and JJ at the bar beside the portofino restaurant. the only thing to note is that you should expect to wait about 45 mins for food to come sometimes

the beach was kept really nice and clean but the best part was my main man ALEXANDER! we had the absolute best service from him, he was so fun and happy all the time, it really made a great part of our trip. it was hard at time to find available chairs in the morning on the beach but by early afternoon you could usually find some empty/unused chairs. when we weren't at the beach we went to the preferred pool area and had a really nice relaxing time there where Yesenia always made sure drinks were full!

the evening entertainment wasn't bad but we skipped it most nights, the nights we did go JR was there socializing and talking to the people. he was very nice and fun to chat with.

at the end of the trip I can fully say that having Roberto was absolutely incredible! he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us, he was very easy to reach via WhatsApp and no request was too big or too small. I feel that the preferred package was well worth it because of him! JP did assists us when we needed to get our Covid PCR tests done as that was a disorganized event at the time, I do feel that area could use some improvement, but like I mentioned when JP got there it ran smoothly after.

overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this resort

There's a height restriction for some of the slides, but there's an area accessible and safe for young children. Sorry, I don't know the depth of the small children's area.

"End of May is the start of their rainy season so it may rain more but you can still have fun. Booking preferred is best as you get to use Secrets next door. "
