Really enjoyed our trip here. There was so much to see, we took part in a trial in the court room and watched a (prospective) live public hanging ... Very knowledgeable staff, who were happy to answer any questions. I learnt a lot here! Could've done with an extra half an hour or so, we didn't get there until 3:15pm and it shut at 5pm, I would say give yourselves at least 2 hours if you want to take part in the activities.

We had such a wonderful day at Wollaton Hall. We arrived on a rainy day in Notts and after sorting the parking, which was a bit of a challenge as I couldn’t remember my log in for the Ringo App, I finally managed to sort it. I think £5 for the day is actually good value considering it’s the same amount to park for an hour in the Victoria centre! We headed straight to the cafe for a bite to eat. We had jacket potatoes which were OK. There wasn’t much of a selection of sandwiches which we would have preferred.
We decided to go straight to the hall as it was still raining. I have been several times to WH over the years but this has to have been my favourite visit. It is free admission which is amazing considering you get to wander around most of the hall.
I was really impressed with the new lay out and the way the taxidermy was displayed; especially the room with the giraffe. I know it’s not to everyone’s taste but my toddler was intrigued by them all and could recognise and say many of the animals and birds. He also loved the drawing room that had some games and puzzles laid out.
We particularly enjoyed the fascinating exhibition called ‘Miniature Masterpieces’ by Dr Willard Wigan- absolutely captivating, especially the story of his life. What an unexpected bonus!!!
Upon leaving, a staff member said they had brought our pram inside as it had started to rain, which I thought was a really kind gesture and was much appreciated!
We then went for a walk around the park to see the majestic deer who were wandering around quite happily, eating the leaves from trees.
We will be returning again soon!

What a great experience & very interesting!
The caves in this experience are loacted under the Broadmarsh shopping area, and the insight to how these caves were previously used was fasinacting. Our guide was great! & very knowledgable.
This is a fab way to spend just over an hour with family, friends, couples or if on a solo visit.

Brilliant - kids absolutely loved it, from the 2 year old, up to the couple of 6 years olds. Couldn't really fault it.
We spend the whole day there and they were shattered!

I was greeted at the entrance gate by a lovely lady with the tickets. She kindly directed me to the walled kitchen garden which was the main thing I had gone to see. Wowzer, it didn’t disappoint, horticultural excellence with beautiful borders & plants clearly labelled . There were little theatres of vases of fresh flowers , & the summer house was a delight with lots of lovely plants & a huge grape vine. I loved the idea of hanging giant allium seed heads from it, genius! Also lovely to see old mowers & tools from a bygone age & lots of interesting information. By far the best garden I have ever visited , & I’ve been to hundreds, even surpassing the lost gardens in Cornwall. I enjoyed a delicious ice cream in the courtyard & enjoyed chatting to a lady member of the gardening team planting wild strawberries in the raised beds. Impressed by the state of the art loos too, the lady tidying them was polite & seemed pleased when I told her what a fabulous day we had. Well done national trust! 😀

Amazing place to go to, the staff need a raise! Always see them litter picking or walking around and making sure everyone's OK. Good range of food in the cafe, cafe looks pretty bog standard nothing exciting, but there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the kids loved seeing the downstairs museum section. We didn't do a cave tour as we didn't have the time but definitely on the agenda for next time! It has a pay and display carpark which we didn't mind, it's worth it for all of the fun that we had.

Went on the outside tour (12:30) which was engaging, interesting and informative. My understanding of workhouses are clouded by Oliver Twist so it was good to get a different perspective. The staff in the cafe were helpful and considerate. We then went round the Workhouse itself. You can access most parts, some of which had furniture in. The information tablets were a little temperamental but we managed to get it working at most spots.

Well done National Trust for buying and renovating this place, it is an important part of our heritage.

Went there with my partner and our dog, very nice to go to a place that is pet friendly. Very nice walks around the grounds and the cafe is also very nice. We will definitely come back.

What a lovely building, but such a shame that we arrived on a day that preparations were being made for a concert in the evening. Do check before your visit, otherwise you may be subjected to very loud soundchecks in the cathedral.
The chapter house stone carvings are truly amazing. So much to see!
    Do visit this place.

We visited with our two young grandchildren and enjoyed our visit. We only went in the Robin Hood experience which our grandchildren enjoyed as plenty of hands one exhibits. We had to go on the play area with them as they were too young to go on alone but we all enjoyed it. The cafe food was very good and an excellent price.

This museum was just wonderful to visit, with very well looked after grounds in memory of those loved and lost. The journey of 'Leo' showed perspective of those children living through such conditions, how brave they must have been! It was great to see that survivors of the Holocaust play such a pivotal role in the centre, sharing real life views. My teen has been studying the holocaust at school, so could share information with us and consolidated his learning by seeing life through the survivors eyes.
A very humbling and wonderfully preserved place to visit.
