Choppy meets several rowers unfairly enslaved by Duralumon and tries to help them by cutting their chains. Sapphire refuses Frank's invitation to dance and the two start dueling, eventually interrupted by the freed prisoners. Frank and Sapphire join forces to free the men and become friends.

April 30, 1967Nylon places a poisoned rose where Sapphire is bound to touch it. When the queen picks the rose herself, she gets a dancing sickness. Sapphire is forced to defeat three monsters in order to get the antidote.

May 21, 1967A magical flying horse comes from heaven to rectify the error of the princess and make a girl again but it captured by Nylon, who tries to use the horse as a bait to kill the princess.

June 11, 1967The son of Duke of Duralumin, named Plastic, enters the woods with Sapphire. Wanting to eat winterberries, he sends his soldiers into the deep woods to look for some. But the Nymph of Sleepiness rages at the destruction of the woods, and makes Plastic suffer from sleeplessness.

June 18, 1967Princess Sapphire switch places with a beggar boy to see how the life outside the castle, but things get too complicated when the gypsies capture the princess thinking that she is one of them.
S1.E13 ∙ Bara no kan
June 25, 1967apphire goes to the rose laden castle in Southern Valley. A presumed dream about the nymph Prince Brandt beckoning her to stop Duke Duralumon from destroying the castle, prompts Sapphire to terminate Duralumon's plans before he can start a war on a neighbouring country.
