Yes, I got the message-don’t take life for granted etc-but this movie is so bad that it is laughable. At one point I turned to my husband to ask if this was a parody. A giant space spider who feasts on jars of Nutella? Please. Also it’s slow. It’s boring. The solemn music never ends. The thing is this could have been a decent movie with a nice message if the ridiculousness was taken out. Or even a commentary on what happens if you send an astronaut into space by himself for eight months (which is why we don’t do this). It would nice to see Adam Sandler in a serious movie…but this not it.

I skipped this movie so many times because of the reviews, and I am so glad I read some great reviews on Google and tried it anyway. I loved this movie. It's Art with a capital A on so many levels. If you want a thought-provoking journey with stunning visuals and music that stirs the soul, go watch it.

Really beautiful movie. Deeper and more complex than many might come to expect from Sandler, but wisdom comes with age. People wondering who the storyteller was are ignoring the fact that it doesn't matter - the message is the message regardless. It's a time-tested cliche, love what you have, don't take the present for granted, but told in a vividly novel way. Well done.

I love this movie, is rythme is very slow but I think that nothing else would have work. Because as a spectators you need this time to think about your own life and experience. I personally accompanied the actor in every step and learn about myself.

I greatly enjoyed this movie. Many people complain about the plot being too slow or boring, but I think that if they stopped looking at their phones every 2 minutes and immersed themselves in the movie, they would appreciate it much more. I found it to be very thought provoking with fantastic cinematography and great audio direction. Adam Sandler performed his role well, even if it was a bit one dimensional.
